Wave movie analysis

Introduction

To begin, there will be a summary about the movie The wave starting where Professor Rainer Weger obtained a class where he was going to teach that it is the autocracy, when he entered the class ask questions about the subject where a leader was needed all the students acceptedthat the teacher was, so he gave orders which the others have to comply and those who did not want to obey had to leave class. Upon arriving home Karo tells the mother as her kind of interesting was however her mother does not agree with the class, since she mentions that power through discipline.

On the second day I explain the power that exists in a group by changing them by breaking previous groups that had between them is that it united people who were wrong in their field with others who were fine so that they can help each other, on the other hand, the other students seeing their class began to enter and it was a larger number of students.

Developing

In their class everyone chose that they had to wear a white shirt to be identified, as well as the professor made them democratically choose the name of the group which called the wave. With the passing of the days the students took the group so seriously that they placed the logo generating vandalism and discomfort to other people, there Karol realizes that he is not taking a good course, since ifYou are not part of the group you mean anything, being so that she makes an article where she says everything that is happening to read and realize.

Karon’s Marco Novio Tar. The professor called all the members of the group to a meeting giving them an example that everything that is going wrong and a student of them who obsessed so much with the group shot one of the boys and also killed himself, since he saidthat if that group did not exist either because for him it was his entire life then he killed himself and had to take him prisoner to Professor Weber.

The key elements of social psychology related to the film are obedience which we will interact with the studies of Milgran, we will begin by giving a small summary where it is about obeying orders towards an authority which are sometimes destined to cause damageto someone who does not abide by them, as well as obedience changes or modifies behaviors.

Thus, Milgran observes some consequences saying that the legitimately established authorities are people of great influence. Whatever the reason why they have achieved that authority, their position transmits superior power and information. Therefore, their actions produce important consequences not only in laboratory studies, but in real life. These consequences are: from the point of view of the subordinate, from the point of view of the authority, from the point of view of the group to which they belong and from the point of view of intercogical relations. Certain suggestions can be taken to minimize the obedience that is automatically generated, such as transmitting the idea that obedience without thinking will not always be positive, since it brings consequences and each one must take a result of their actions.

Another of the elements is the desindividualization where Zimbardo will be taken here which says that a subject ceases to be himself to attach to another group and thus be able to be part of it. Zimbardo consists of 3 components which are ascending conditions this means that he distributes authority anonymously, internal state of disinvidation is that little self-observation goes from little, set of remaining behaviors refers to impulsive behaviors which performs them for being part of a group. Thus, all this leads to the realization of impulsive, emotional, irrational, aggressive actions, which attack traditional forms and structures. The individual loses all restrictions that limit their behavior in normal situations. Being so that disindentive behaviors can be considered as measures to restore individual or social identity.

conclusion

Regarding the film, the elements of social psychology that could be found is obedience and desindividation. Regarding obedience in the film, it could be seen when Professor Weger gave them certain orders to continue with the class such as the use of clothing, as well as when they had to get up from their seat to speak, also at the time ofYes, he did not do what he said had to leave his class, as well as when he told them to take Marco to him.

Obedience could also be observed at the time Tim when showing the gun told them what to do, seeing this type of obedience Professor Weger had to take responsibility for all the bad acts that the students had. On the other hand, the desindividation could be observed at the time that each person who wanted to form the group had to follow certain rules, one of them was to wear the white shirt with the logo that distinguished them. One of the changes in behavior was violence against other people, so that each of them adapted this behavior.
