True History of the Bermuda Triangle
The Bermuda triangle became famous worldwide for speculation about paranormal and even aliens phenomena. Today many wonder: what is the explanation for so many ships and airplanes to have disappeared in this area, without a trace? The area between the Bermuda Islands, Puerto Rico and Miami forms a triangle, known as the Bermuda triangle. It occupies an area of just over one million square kilometers and, it is obvious that in all that open sea anything can happen.
The name was coined by writers of several newspapers and magazines in 1953, who assigned strange and unusual characteristics to this area, such as the disappearance of boats, airplanes and people, in seemingly inexplicable situations. For Americans who move to the European continent, this has always been the most frequented communication route. Especially for distance and because vessels can take advantage of sea currents, such as the Gulf of Mexico.
The origin of the Bermuda Triangle
The first document in which the Bermuda triangle is discussed was an article written by journalist Edward Van Winkle Jones for Associated Press, in 1950. In the same he nicknamed with the appellation of "Triangle of the Devil" to the place and attributed the disappearances to mysterious reasons. His point of view was ratified two years later by George X. Sand, who wrote for Fate magazine. Subsequently, the writer Vincent Gaddis would coined the term "Bermuda Triangle" in a sensationalist article for Argosy magazine, written in 1964. This name was popular in 1974 thanks to the science fiction writer Charles Berlitz, who achieved sales success by writing about the Bermuda triangle. Many believed that what was written by Berlitz was true and a myth was created around what he said.
Fiction or reality
Berlitz accentuated the shadow of doubt about the disappearances of ships, airplanes and people and opened the door to the fantastic explanations. That is why he was branded as a manipulator and liar at the time. In this sense, it is worth clarifying that science fiction writers, for the most part, come to true information that misrepresents it to make it credible;That’s what fiction is about. And that was what Berlitz did, which does not deny that he has been opportunistic, that he has enriched and has not done anything to deny what is written.
In the context of the time, American society was marked by paranoid behavior: an imminent threat was perceived everywhere. It is not for less, when you enter and leave permanently from one war and another. The land was the most fertile to germinate a fantasy of this type. In fact, Orson Welles had demonstrated, decades earlier, in his famous radial transmission: people panic. Probably due to Berlitz’s success, many unknown writers began to imitate and appear, creating increasingly truculent stories. They even appeared as "experts" in aspects such as "UFO phenomenon".

Today this trend still persists with certain waves, less and less numerous, of naive that fall into the trap. The enormous amount of photographs and videos manipulated throughout this story is striking: its purpose was to gain adepts for “the cause”, to the point where a subculture of deception has been generated.

All these factors, without a doubt, cause both airplanes and ships to succumb and due to the enormous extension of the territory it is impossible to find the remains. Additionally, studies carried out by specialists confirm that, on average, air and sea traffic in this area is approximately 100.000 routes per year. Therefore, the disappearance of 50 ships and about twenty planes is below expected and is insignificant in statistical terms. In fact, there are many places in the world where there are many more cases of this type and the aliens are not responsible for aliens.
The new reality about the Bermuda triangle
Lately it has been said that the disappearances were given by the presence of a black hole in this area. There is also talk of blue holes, marine monsters not yet discovered by science or electronic fog. Fortunately, science has recently demonstrated the presence of huge and constant sources of methane in the marine bed. These emerge towards the surface of the ocean and have the ability to sink huge vessels. This is because gas is less dense than water, which generates great instability.
