The world talks about peace, but nobody educates for peace
Educate for peace
To strive to achieve peace is something that should import us all, not only to governments, world leaders or international organizations such as UN. Each of us can contribute to this value to impose and maintain. The easiest way to start trying every day so that in our house and in school reigns understanding. All, regardless of the age we have, we can contribute to our grain of sand to ensure that conflicts or differences are fixed by dialoguing and not through aggressiveness. It is essential to learn and teach others that blows and insults, far from solving problems aggravate it. At a time when physical and verbal violence seems to have grown, the challenge of peace is more necessary than ever.
It is said that there are no violent societies, but individuals who act violently. It is also stated that subjects are not born violent, but become as a result of the context in which they develop and the influences they receive. If we accept that both statements are true, it turns out that the path that leads to peace begins at home. It is there where boys and girls receive the first notions about what is right and what is wrong. Also about the coexistence of living in a friendly and harmonious environment in which respect among family members prevails. In this way by forming better children, parents contribute to form a better country.
On the other hand, many first -time teachers dream of a group that "not problems";a group formed exclusively by quiet, ordered and responsible students;a homogeneous group with which it is possible to work in peace .The most experienced teachers, on the other hand, know that the classroom is a species of microcosm that reflects the diversity, complexity and contradictions of the entire society. In this sense, it is important to be prepared to face all kinds of situations, in particular those that threaten to affect relationships within the classroom and complicate the achievement of academic objectives.
There are many ways to promote peace, but mainly, this must be practiced in all places and people, which develop in different areas: social, economic, political and cultural;always goes in that value that is respect which must be imposed when we want our voice and ideas without major consequences to be heard. From a time here, Mexico was very different from what we know today, it was a place where there was freedom of expression, you could walk freely until late at night, without fear of being attacked. At this time, children did not see murders made with bestiality: a head here, an arm there, the organs beyond. Nor words that today is in the vocabulary of all, in a very common and daily way: drug trafficking, organized crime, high power weapons, drugs, that yellowing media have been in charge of spreading and killing a single blowChild innocence.
There were moments, that in our country opinions were respected, being the most powerful weapon to resolve any disagreement no matter how great it was;that is, peace was practiced and prevailed. However, unfortunately we are witnessing the great wave of violence in our country.
Even so, our Mexico is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, but also one of the most dangerous and insecure, where the culture of peace is least practiced worldwide. According to statistics, it sounds alarming that nine Mexican cities so far are among the most violent international level. Of these, Acapulco occupies third place. Today, society lives in a wave of violence, but it is not only the struggle between posters, but also between parents;families against their own families, neighbors against neighbors, children against students against students. That is, we are Mexican against Mexicans, showing a total loss of values that our ancestors instilled us as a way of life and part of our education. It is unfortunate to see: desperate mothers, because they kidnapped a child and they don’t find him;to all those who fight against organized crime for rescuing their families;Children who lose their parents and, lately that attack on women called femicide that is hitting our country as a wave of violence .In unison let’s say "enough" no more kidnapping;No more missing no more spilled blood;no more lives consumed;no more tars rolled. Let’s promote peace! Let’s educate with peace!
It is impossible to continue living in fear of living;It is impossible to continue living in fear of walking in the street where a shooting is released and a lost bullet touches me. We must have the freedom to walk in the streets without worrying that we will be one of the many kidnappings that occur in our country every day. It is known that the family is the pillar of society, where values, morals, virtues and;Therefore the children follow the example of the parents. But, for anyone is a secret! That most families use as correction methods: insults, blows, screams, aggression and others, which far from helping to promote peace and educate with peace continue with the same, generation after generation.
Today, children often are alone in most families;Seeing television, video games and the Internet where they learn lifestyles, whose behaviors are based on lack of respect, aggression and violence, which far from educating badly inform and cause behaviors of violence. Come on, I wonder where are the parents? Where were the families who educated in values?Where was the Mexico that lived in peace, is enough! The lack of peace is not a problem that originates only posters and mafias, it is from all citizens and as such, it is up to everyone to solve it. It is not possible that we cannot encourage peace and be free!
We live in a wonderful country! But we ourselves are discrediting it: we must rescue it, if we want it;also to our state so well known and loved world;to our people: children and adolescents urgently and specially. Let’s make this place where the culture of peace is practiced, returns and transmitted to the new generations. Citizens, parents, teachers and authorities present here we do not want to have left or enclosure at home that in no way help to eradicate violence and encourage peace;We need an education in values urgently. Parents, are in your hands to educate with peace so that there is peace, we do not want an insult based education, remove the screams and better give their children education, time, affection and dedication or better still soake them with the example. Make the citizens of excellence and non -criminals in powers;Teach them with the example that you do not need to steal to live, kill to eat, kill to continue living, assault to be heard.
To contribute to this, more activities called “schools for parents” must. As for you, teacher, we don’t want authoritarianism, we want them to be practical and teach us the values with their example. Government of all levels, if these young people involved in drug trafficking are going to take away, they must create jobs to hire them. Let’s change the violence for peace.
Peace education is not one more option, but a need that parents, the educational institution and society in general must assume, based on values such as: justice, democracy, solidarity tolerance, coexistence, respect, cooperation, autonomy, rationality, love of truth etc.
