The loss of values in society
Values are taught at home, at school and in the church, but does anyone know what? To start, what are they? which are? I do not come to criticize your point of view, since issues like this are incredibly subjective, I’m just going to give you my most sincere opinion.
Values are moral and ethical principles that determine the person and the way in which it behaves in society. They are the ones who guide us in our life, for example, two people may be interested in commerce but one could be a thief and the other a honest negotiator.It all depends on the scheme of values that the person possesses. Your attitude or interest defines our society and here is your great importance, do we want a society full of thieves? Of liars? Malcriados? I’m sure no.
Values are fundamental in our life because they allow us to develop in an assertive way and enriches our society as proud citizens. This is why we must always practice them, in every context.
Today I am going to tell you about 3 that for me are the most important. Personally the value that I consider the most important is honesty. Unfortunately our country suffers a great deficiency of this value because we are used to lying to look good with others, to cover our weaknesses. We do not assume our mistakes. That is why they must teach us since childhood to be people of the word, to be consistent between what we say and do. The other value is respect, this value is one of the first that they teach us at home. Without this value people could not live together, since we need this value for our daily life. The third value I consider vital is love. Love is a value that every human being possesses and practices daily, for example we can demonstrate our love with family, with friends, with animals and even with any activity. Love is a very strong value and implies understanding it, this means that love must be learned to give it and receive it. This value is used for everything, in fact this value is also a feeling. The human being cannot survive without this value since the human being would not support being alone, with anyone to talk to, without demonstrating his love or importance or affection for other people.
Our country does not receive this kind of education since the majority of the Honduran population does not study because it has to work. Parents play a great role in the education of adolescents, since they are their example to follow since childhood. Teenagers is not so communicate that they demonstrate interest in values, since in school they can demonstrate a different behavior. For example, parents can give them the best education, but they will always have to demonstrate it, although there are times to like others are not themselves. The behavior of adolescents is diverse and in many cases rare. Rare in the way there are times that they cannot be understood so easy, the main attitudes that teenagers have are angry, stressed, spoiled, rebels, etc … everything varies depending on maturity.
We must all have the values, regardless of gender, social class or age. Young people are the basis of society, they must give a good version for the country. The values are going from generation to generation and will continue like this until the end of the times. Values are so important for people, although some do not notice. They are the ones who define us in society and guide us to be a better person. Do not give their backs, we are the future of the country, we are the new Honduras! Let’s be a great example for generations that come. Let’s not let Honduras ruin, on the contrary we enriched the country how? practicing values constantly.
