The growing pollution in Latin American countries
Introduction
This work is done based on the content of a video that shows us how Latin Americans are getting carried away by consumerism and the mismanagement of natural resources towards an uncertain and devastating future for society. The future of the planet depends on the rational useof available resources? Are consumerism and the mismanagement of waste and waste leading us to end the planet?
Developing
Current society has been carried away by consumption advertising without control of damage that its irrational use affects the planet. We see how factories and major capitalists motivate greater consumption through the introduction of changing fashion and use of brands that compete to excel leading Latin Americans to be great consumerists. The participation of women in the workplace leads to the use of processed and canned foods forgetting healthy food with natural products.
The planet today presents a high degree of pollution product of industrial and commercial growth, the mishandling of waste and waste which has made many interested in seeking a practical way to weigh the damage that this has brought in the environment andof course affecting the health of Latin Americans with the development of dermatological respiratory diseases among others.
The Greenpeace organization in its work on pollution says: “Today many of the products we consume and the industries that produce them generate pollution, either direct for their production or indirect, for their degradation in the environment (such as for exampleplastics). We find polluting substances in the air we breathe, in our food, in our clothes and cosmetics … In addition, the plastic pollutant has literally flooded our lives. It should be noted that the government together with other identities has tried to educate the population with measures such as the recycling of waste by classifying them and placing them in containers with specific colors. The importance of educating the population by integrating educational programs on pollution and the way we can reduce it are an active part of this process;If we want a healthy and free environment of pollutants, we have to work on being protective and educators, energy savers taking care of nature: sowing trees, avoiding deforestation, reducing the consumption and use of toxic substances that are detrimental to the planet to the planetbe thrown into the natural sources of water.
The article published by the Packaging magazine says: “Precisely, the culture of recycling is the proactive attitude of citizenship and public bodies, in establishing environmental policies for the collection and management of solid waste, in order not to pollute thecities and encouraging an ecological behavior pattern in the community. It is the daily struggle to reduce the negative impact of consumerism provided by modern society, and that needs the solidarity participation of ministerial entities, private companies and NGOs, to work in a joint way for the socio-environmental well-being of people andits environment. Remember to recycle, it is to submit a material or product used, to a physical-chemical or mechanical process that allows us to reuse it. That is why it is vital to comply with the 3rs rule (reduce, reuse, recycle) and thus avoid the accumulation of domestic and industrial waste."
conclusion
Every day we can appreciate with alarming concern as the Latin American environment is affected by a consumerist society without control due to the inappropriate management of waste materials, this resulting in the high environmental pollution that today has an impact on health and the planet. Likewise, technology has increased this problem due to the indiscriminate use of appliance and electronic games that lead to the exaggerated consumption of energy by the new generation.
The waste generates tons of garbage that if properly stored by recycling would decrease the pollution of the planet. The solution is in our hands by becoming aware and implementing change of consumption habits, proper use of technology, planting trees care of water sources, sanitary landfills and recycling. Let’s work for a better planet we start for ourselves today.
