The family in modern times and the different changes in society

Today families live modern times as a result of the broad, deep and rapid changes of society and culture, however, they remain faithful to the values that constitute the foundation of the family nucleus. Some families feel uncertain and discouraged, and even in a state of doubt with respect to the meaning of conjugal and family life. Due to certain negative phenomena, there is many times the erroneous idea of the freedom of each of the people when making their own decisions, which is not related to the truth of God’s project about marriage and family, but as aAutonomous force of self-affirmation in order to own well -being (John Paul II, 1981).

The Church is aware that marriage and family constitute one of the most precious assets of humanity, therefore, their desire is to help anyone who already knowing the important value that a home has, can constantly live it, and inDifficult moments full of uncertainty or anxiety can have the truth and live with freedom your own family project. In this way, generate healthy environments, greater attention to the quality of interpersonal relationships in marriage, to the promotion of women’s dignity, to responsible procreation, to the education of children, also to raise awareness of the need forImprove relationships between families, in order to a spiritual and material reciprocal aid, knowledge of the family’s own ecclesial mission and its responsibility in the construction of a more just society.

A family must provide emotional, psychological, moral and material support to members. The family has to ensure the provision of physical security in terms of food, clothing, shelter and other needs to their parents or other family members dependent on the family. According to Pope Francis ‘’ when we care about our families and their needs, when we understand their problems and hopes, their efforts have not only for the benefit of the Church;They also help society ’’ (Arianna Santamaria, 2018).

Families are called to teach, form and forge values of love, peace, fraternity towards society in general, but especially young people who are to undertake their way to marriage and family, in order to open new horizons,helping them to discover the beauty and greatness of vocation to love and the service of life.

Family stability is decisive for the future of its members, world completely and of the Church, there are many analysis of the experience in the home, relation of parents to children, husband and wives, exposing their current difficulties and challenges (Francisco, 2016).

It is very important to pay attention to the current reality, because the demands and calls of the Holy Spirit also resonate in the events of history itself, through which the Church can be guided to a deeper understanding of the inexhaustible mystery of marriage and ofthe family. Family experience is important for the psychological stability of each of its members, a family with Christ is a growing family both spiritually and mentally.

Families today are influenced by all aspects in the world and an analytical and diversified approach is required, issues on morals are not plebiscitary, but it is necessary to understand the knowledge that the faithful have of them, and the existing differenceBetween knowledge and practice, the family appears as a reality that descends from the will of the creator and constitutes a social reality. Therefore, it is not a mere invention of human society, much less of any purely human power, but rather a natural reality, which has been high by Christ our Lord in the context of divine grace and marriage and familyThey are inseparable.

However, not all Christians form an authentic Christian family that is a place of sanctification and salvation. Incompatibilities and contrasts between God’s plan and the reality of many families are palpable by verifying free unions, divorces, adulteries, the abandonment of children. The family as an institution suffers a time of crisis due to the current transformations of a new type of society such as: industrialized, urban, secularized and non -Christian, pluralistic and anonymous, but given that situation the Christian family is called to give a clearTestimony as a community of life and love and as a domestic church, source of sanctification and salvation.

Love is essential in the family nucleus, it is the axis of relationships within the family. Loving and being loved is the gratification of parents, husbands and children, love drives and rewards the sacrifice of parents;Grateful love sprouts in children by experiencing how much their parents do for them;Blood ties between brothers enhance love, turned into fraternity.

The context expressed by the bishops of Spain in past decades was because they already knew a domestic reality with more space for freedom, with an equitable distribution of charges, responsibilities and tasks. By valuing more personal communication between husbands, it contributes to humanizing all family coexistence, it should be noted that neither the society in which we live nor that towards which we walk allow indiscriminate survival of forms and models of the past. But we are aware of the direction that are making anthropological-cultural changes, because of which individuals are less supported than in the past by social structures in their affective and family life.

We must thank that most people value family relationships that want to remain in time and ensure respect for the other. Therefore, it is appreciated that the Church offers spaces for accompaniment and advice on issues related to the growth of love, overcoming conflicts or children’s education. Many estimate the strength of grace they experience in sacramental reconciliation and the Eucharist, which allows them to cope the challenges of marriage and family.

In today’s world there is also the testimony of marriages that have not only endured over time, but continue to support a common project and retain affection. This opens the door to a positive, cozy pastoral. However, many times we have acted on the defensive, and we spend the pastoral energies by redoubled the attack on the decadent world, with little proactive capacity to show paths of happiness. Many do not feel that the message of the Church about marriage and family has been a clear reflection of the preaching and attitudes of Jesus that, while proposing a demanding ideal, never lost the compassionate closeness with the fragile, asWith the adulteress.

In conclusion we can see the importance of love and have faith in Christ, therefore, we must have a life planning, since as we mention there are factors that destroy families and one of them is the low economic sustainability for political change, another of them is the lack of communication between the members. We have to be aware and communicative with our partners for a family fruit and the development of our children in a healthy environment and without any trauma caused by marriage conflicts, since parents raise, develop and build the mentality of their children and their ability todifferentiate good and evil. Parents are the head of the home by having and taking the passage of marriage, they have to see and analyze all the situations that are lived day by day, and face them and not point to each other, nor others, but we are able torecognize mistakes and show mutual support to foster good values, beliefs and be good people for our children and society in general.
