The circular economy and its relationship with the environment

In this essay it will manifest about the importance of the circular economy as the environment, he because it must be adapted in our society emphasizing that the circular economy is a production and consumption model that implies: reuse, renew and recycle existing materials. These can be productively used again and again, creating additional value. Its objective is to identify what is the importance of the circular economy in the environment. The issue is considered to have an academic scope, in order to raise awareness among students to practice it in a responsible manner. The thesis raised is Ecuador and its relationship with the circular economy.

Relationship that Ecuador’s country has with the circular economy

"Ecuador projects sustainable production through a technical standard based on circular economy". (Almagro, 2019) The circular economy is an economic concept that interrelates with sustainability, whose objective is that the value of products, materials and natural resources (water, energy, light, etc.) They remain in the economy for as long as possible, and which in turn is minimized, the generation of waste. I consider that not only our country must practice circular economy, if all countries do the planet would extend its life cycle.

Importance and operation of the circular economy related to the environment

Its main objective is to reduce both the entry of materials and the production of waste, closing the loops or economic and ecological flows of resources. The resources where the reduction, reuse and recycling. One of the reasons for moving towards a circular economy is the increase in demand for raw materials and the shortage of resources. Seeks the use of resources in all product life cycle phases.

Function that fulfills the circular economy with the environment

This circular economy helps to evaluate the environmental impact from the design of the product, the acquisition of raw material, the manufacture of the product and transport of this until its final consumption. The resources used may be reuse to create new products. Usually when a product spoils or comes to an end, the most likely human being does is discard it, completely ignoring that this product can be reusable.

Benefits that the economy circulates with the environment

A change towards a circular economy could contribute many benefits not only environmental but also economic. “According to Pedro Ponce, cooperation officer of the Delegation of the European Union in Ecuador, the EC generates various environmental benefits, such as the reduction in the use of energy from fossil fuels, the increase of renewable sources of raw material and energy, decrease in waste, pollutant gas emissions."

Consequence of not practicing circular economy

If it would not practice circular economy, companies would work under the linear economy, this results in the following: a high energy expenditure is generated. A lot of raw material is extracted causing the deterioration of natural systems. Climate change is affected and loss of biodiversity is aggravated, there will be increased waste and waste. The working conditions that human beings will have will be very vulnerable

In recent years society has been innovating in technology. But what many do not see is that this makes the planet lose its biodiversity. There is a linear model that consists of the extraction of resources its treatment to turn it into materials and its assembly to give rise to a product that will soon become a residue. (Used, consumed and discarded). But as I said this generates many consequences. The intercede circular economy because the majority of possible biodegradable materials are used in the manufacture of biological consumer goods, so that they can return to nature without causing environmental damage when exhausted its useful life. What would make an innovative and helpful model to our planet Earth. The time has come to reflect that the world needs a transformation, and that transformation begins with you.
