Subliminal messages in children’s cartoons
The current panorama of our society reflects that it is increasing. Unfortunately over time certain subliminal messages have been released in children -led drawings, unleashing the controversy of, if cartoons are harmful to children. We consider that most cartoons contain subliminal messages that psychologically alter children’s behavior.
Cartoon have become molders for the behavior of children in different parts of the world. In his research, Durán (2019) as a professor and psychologist of the primary level of a Peruvian school mentions that “children adapt in front of non -correct stimuli, these cartoons and cartoons make the child adopt a series of inadequate behaviorsinside the home or at school ”(P.64). We clearly appreciate this in the case of North American cartoons such as the famous “Coyote & Roadrinks” as wellA child upon reaching 14 years of age has witnessed a total of 18.000 violent deaths on television, being harmful to your physical and mental health.
One of the reasons why we are against cartoons is because violence is one of its most relevant and worrying aspects against society. These have had great impact on the behaviors of a large majority of children, either by imitation during the game, in conversations with friends, and even affecting psychologically being worrisome for family and society. I open an autobiographical parenthesis to tell that from the age of 3 he was a fan of cartoons in this case the Simpsons, but caused reactions to me being part of it, had a bad behavior at the initial level, since Ibased on the most unreal situations of these programs. I close the parenthesis to continue saying that I have seen cases in which a cartoon is a violent scenario for children, this has caused mental damage that are impactable in the world
If it is understood that cartoon is a film technique that present imaginary situations based on violent facts that are imitated by children, then they cause repercussions against society. Many of these children are exposed to greater cases and the situation they are living is serious without their parents noticing, since due to their high subliminal content in acts of rebellion, cartoons tend to project bad behaviors generating psychological traumas. In addition, although parents see this behavior normal, since they think that it is a growth process, this can end in painful consequences. According to the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in a study carried out, he determined that both the aggressive act and the accelerated action on animated television produce aggressive responses in children from 6 to 12 years old, they can also lead to making crimes without reason without reasonsome, starting with animals until ending with people.
Violence generated from cartoons are usually more attractive to children’s behavior. Indeed, when a child observes inappropriate behavior, he responds in the same way observed. In many cases, cartoons lead to bad behavior for children. In the research carried out in 2013 by the National University of Education, the imitation of the children’s children was observed, when they add a partner on 54.2% of children mimic the character cuatrobrazos, 37.5% imitate Ironman, 6.3% to Humunosurio and 2.1% of boys mimic other characters, in addition this behavior affects their dealings with girls, given that 50% of boys have a rough treatment towards girls, 37.5% have a friendly treatment towards them and only in12.5% are respectful of girls.
In conclusion, most cartoons contain subliminal messages that psychologically alter the behavior of children, since over time and for past experiences these cartoons have become molders for the behavior of children in different parts of theworld, likewise violence is present that is one of the most relevant and worrying aspects, in front of society because it directly influences its coexistence. These cartoons are a film technique that present imaginary situations based on violent events, that is why when a child observes inappropriate behavior in cartoons, the child responds in the same way observed, causing certain catastrophic consequences and injuries both and injuries both bothPsychological and physical, and in major cases these behaviors can have an impact on growth, thus leading to crimes for no reason, starting with animals until ending with people. For these reasons, we find the subliminal messages in the cartoons serious, since they alter the behavior of the minor children;That is why it is recommended that parents can supervise what their children see at home, also spend more time with them to be able to teach the virtues and values that every child has to learn, nothing better than at home and with the company ofthe family.
