Study on Research and Historiography
Throughout the present work we have seen numerous currents all with their pros and cons. In addition, we have deepened numerous historians recognized today and who last in our memory for their contribution to historiography.
The organization of the social structure will be decisive for the event of the facts, and adapt to a society that is in a continuous transformation. The historical observation is that the facts of the human past that we can study consist of being the brand that leaves a phenomenon and that our senses can receive. The past is a fact that cannot be modified, since it no longer exists, only through footprints and remains, but, nevertheless, the knowledge of the past is perfect and transform incessantly, being constantly progress. It is important to remember that a historical fact cannot be explained exactly because we are in another time, although that is why we must not ignore what happened in the past. As Josep Fontana would say: ‘We need to rethink the story to better analyze the present and consider a new future, since the old pressures in which we had deposited our hopes have come down, because they were badly founded’
The greatest achievements achieved are focusing attention on objective conditions in the production of the material and that are fundamental in any fact or action that men perform in the course of history. Peter Burke expresses that "comparative history in particular expands our perception of alternatives and therefore enriches our imagination," that is, the comparison of obtaining data obtained through these ways, would lead us to obtain a better and greater conception of historical phenomena and individuals who are part of them.
Postmodernity is a way of thought that tries to give different explanations, from the school environment you must question the ‘what’, the ‘why’ and the ‘for what’. From historical educational studies, history must be understood as a permanent process of reconstruction of knowledge marked by the change influenced by the media. Therefore, as indicated by the Professor of Philosophy at the University of Zaragoza, Juan Manuel Aragüés, “Postmodern society places us in the face of new problems and contradictions that only from a postmodern speech it is possible to address."
When conducting a historical investigation, the history is made, knowing that there are different approaches or perspectives. Documents or resources is the common that in every historical study they have to be used. Specifically, for the historical research of education, written documents of a public or private nature are usually consulted, using reports, visual resources or the Internet … On the other hand, we have the primary and secondary resources, the official, private, written and institutional documents, of classroom or visual. My recommendation is that they combine and know how to contextualize in order to understand their meaning and know why they put themselves there and with what purpose. The documents are of the utmost importance for historical reconstruction and you have to use them to verify these investigations.
