STRATEGIES IN CHANGE MANAGEMENT OF THE SOCIETY
Introduction.
Adaptation strategies are born from the need to adjust productive and social activities to the climate, real or projected, and for their purposes, so that they can be moderated or, in the best case, benefit from the opportunities that present the alterations in the ecosystems.
Developing.
Adaptation measures are part of a cycle which requires constant monitoring. Once implemented it is necessary to monitor the implemented measure, and eventually do a new study to modify the necessary corrections.
Proposals:
• Promote and develop scientific, technological, social and economic research on climate change adaptation.
• Promote policies, measures and projects to develop the ability to adapt to the effects of climate change.
• Development of policies and measures oriented to the rational management of resources
• Dissemination of knowledge about current and future sustainable and sustainable climate change.
• Promotion of projects that have poverty relief
• Promotion of the use of adequate and appropriate technologies for adaptation to climate change.
• Achieve the participation of society to improve the ability to adapt to the effects of climate change.
• Explore the possibility of achieving fair compensation for the adverse effects of climate change, generated mainly by industrialized countries.
• Design and implement a participatory monitoring system of climate change behavior in the Amazon.
• Strengthen capacities to design and implement programs and projects in order to face the negative effects of climate change, and to take advantage of the opportunities that are generated as a result of climate change.
• Implement in the initial, primary, secondary and higher educational units the issue of climate change and other issues related to the protection of natural resources.
Climate change induced by humanity is an issue beyond politics. It transcends parties, nations, and even generations. But it is not enough with the achievement of international agreements or to fight against climate change and environmental degradation, nor for adequate management of the planet’s resources, the development of new cultures is required with the impulse of sustainability
Scientific-governmental participation is perhaps one of the greatest current challenges to expand dialogue and expand the field of relevant actors, and emphasize content and knowledge that rely on sustainable values and practices, indispensable to stimulate interest and involvement with the Shared responsibility.
Conclusions.
Logic is reflected to the extent that scientists develop data, models and conclusions, and expect society to accept their conclusions mainly if changes in the way of life of society are demanded. And scientists have the complex task of recognizing their scope on society and communicating their impact and consequences. If decision makers do not realize the relevance and practical utility of climatic information, the motivation to use it will be limited.
Climate changes demand a forceful, continued and comprehensive participation action, in which the State must be the great motivator and guarantor, to stimulate and support the most active sectors of society.
