Socialization agents: as an influential factor in the behavior of the human being

Introduction

In this essay we have as a priority the study of socialization agents. In this way we can include that the individual’s behavior is studied through social perception, which in their process analyzes how factors such as emotional, cognitive, social and responsibility states influence the actions of the individual.

Finally, socialization agents are divided into 4 types that are: the family: it is the most important educational element in children’s education. Therefore, one of the main functions is to coordinate with families and guide them in their educational work, the school: it is the educational entity in which the boy and girl expand their social relationships and their knowledge of the world, group of peer: It is the group of friends with which a child shares daily and media: the contents, messages and values of the media have an impact on most of our activities of daily life.

Developing

It is a learning process that makes us suitable for social life and allows us to integrate into the community to which we belong.

It consists basically, in the acquisition and internalization of the skills, beliefs, norms, and customs of the culture in which we live.

“Primary socialization is the first for which the individual is going through childhood;Through it it becomes a member of society. […] It is noticed at first glance that primary socialization is usually the most important for the individual, and that the basic structure of all secondary socialization must similar to that of primary school ”(Berger, P; Luckman, T, 1968).

According to these authors (Berger, P; Luckman, T, 1968) Primary socialization corresponds to the introduction of the individual in society, that is, to the internalization by the subject of a social objective world built by "others significant"in charge of its socialization.

Socialization phases

In socialization there are stages of according to the level of each individual. Let’s talk about 3 phases:

  • Primary socialization:

It takes place from birth and occurs essentially in the family nucleus, because the family is the main part of social relations.

  • Secondary socialization:

Accompany the subject since it is inserted at school, the individual develops intellectual abilities and skills.

  • Tertiary socialization:

This process is called resocialization because it is about renewing the conduct of the deviant, it is usually understood that the induce agents are the competent authorities and the professionals.

"Readaptation and reappropriation process that subjects must experience in the face of radical and deep changes in their living conditions" (Martin Fernandez & Diaz Fernandez, 2004).

According to (Martin Fernandez & Diaz Fernandez, 2004) individuals must experience very deep changes in their life, although it is also characterized by dissocialization in which values are abandoned, this happens in old age.

Socialization agents: as an influential factor in the behavior of the human being.

  • The family:

He plays a leadership role in the development of children, since, within it, the basic learning necessary for autonomous development within society: values, language, impulsivity control, among others. The influence of the family in the child’s education is fundamental in:

Personality formation, from which the child will face the world with a certain nuance (happy, confident, sad, suspicious, defensive, …) influences the child, helping to interpret and make sense of the world around him.

“Communication in the form of learning guided by parents or teachers, and in the form of discussions with the like, can, on the contrary, fill the gaps with a simple imitation, and give an answer to the multiple questions that childrenThey can consider … but certainly, just proceeding.

They themselves to perform consumer acts may, after all, seize all the arcana of the process, memorize them and acquire a certain number of automatisms ”(Bree, J. , 1993).

This author (Bree, J., 1993) It refers that communication is a much learning process that is guided by family or teachers, also communication allows you to answer the multiple questions asked by children. Although children also proceed to acquire knowledge and memorize ideas.

  • The school:

In order for all this to be carried out completely, it is necessary that the school establish bidirectional communication with families, clearly and directly, that favors the child’s knowledge and helps detect possible difficulties or delays in language acquisition.

The family and school must form an indissoluble couple in which collaboration, exchange and mutual enrichment are always present. Another of the main communication elements, together with language, is the environment understood as physical support, the set or stage in which the enunciation occurs.

“The school as any significant is not completely subject to the content that is supposed to be express. While symbolism is not totally free, but it clings to the historical, it is also not anchored to a homogeneous sense ”(Duschatzky, 1999).

According to (Duschatzky, 1999) states that the school will build a democratic scenario that respects the different learning styles that children have. In addition, the school is a space from which the individual not only receives knowledge and information, but can be associated with other realities, but is also understood as an experience prior to adult life.

  • Even groups:

It is an agent who plays an important role and in which we make contacts with our school classmates, they teach us the first cultural guidelines different from those of families. It could also be said that the even groups would not only come to do the child but also the primates. Example: monkeys without a mother, but with others to relate: relatively normal adults. Monkeys with mother, but without colleagues: happy in childhood, problems later, when they are incorporated with other primates: they do not play abnormal social behavior. Williams James: gifted child. To obtain maximum development of their abilities, he was educated in almost experimental conditions / isolated from contact with equals: in their adulthood common chronic people people living alone.

"Young humans feel a deep inclination towards others of" their class ", and it is defined, first, by age" (Harris, J. R., 1999)

According to (Harris, J. R., 1999) The need for equals is expressed, so that it is possible to become a basic activity in development and education since it allows access to different modalities, social relationship abilities and the discovery of cultural meanings, althoughYou could say in the peer groups the children share the same age and certain interests.

  • Media:

We are all in constant communication with the different events, whether: social, political and economic both nationally and internationally.

The media are a powerful socialization tool, together with family, school and work, model feelings, beliefs, the senses train, help shape social imagination; In summary, they encourage and facilitate certain mental constructions where people’s thinking takes place in society.

The media, on the one hand, can contribute to the formation of more educated individuals, but on the other hand they can be used to understand and illustrate leisure, as well as to alien false lures, false idols and false doctrines. For example, research with preschool age incorporates their own expressions of some content of a medium. This means that the media are a mode of learning that a child needs, the television event has come to replace other sources of information and learning.

When we see a program or we use a website three actions are produced:

  • We receive information
  • Let’s reote information
  • We communicate and disperse this information

"Students today learn content and meanings through the media, beyond the teacher, who is no longer the main socialization agent" (Jacquinot, G., 2003).

According to (Jacquinot, G., 2003) Through the media you learn but in turn not because there are students who do not capture if they are taught by the media, there are also teachers who do not handle the issue of the media well and that complicates learning morewhich is required for students especially for the little ones.

conclusion

In this essay I exposed about the issue of socialization, phases and socialization agents, but the one that most caught my attention was the media agent, this agent allows us to be informed through: radio, television, telephone, social networks, etc.

The media are also important in society because they manage to conveHowever, everything will depend on the purpose for which they are employed.

Social networks enter the media group, since they are channels that allow the transmission of images, videos and audio which are very important, it is very important to have knowledge about the information provided by the media to thusdo not give an erroneous interpretation.
