Sex education to avoid early pregnancy

Pregnancy in adolescents is an issue that has been made known more in recent years and that although societies have been advancing, it is not taken as the serious and delicate issue that is. This is something that brings many problems to these adolescents, who are not only physical consequences but also psychological. These cases are even more perceptible in the countries of the Caribbean and South America, since they are occupying the second place with the highest adolescents pregnancies in the full world as stated by UNFPA on February 28, 2018.

In addition to that, it is caused by the lack of knowledge or rather the low quality of education and poverty in which some of these young women live. Not only does the mother affected, but the baby can end up harmed. For all those reasons mentioned above, I consider that sex education, on the prevention of pregnancy at an early age is the best option to avoid them or rather reduce the rate of these. As a recommendation for educational institutions, implementing classes or workshops on sex education at ages of 13 to 18 years is the best option to help you understand how to avoid it and why it is important to prevent it from being so young.

To conclude, sex education has to be implemented in educational institutions like any other subject. Reducing the high percentage of teenagers is a priority and cannot be taken lightly, together with reducing school dropout significantly and at the same time creating mothers prepared for when it is the right time.
