Sense of life, purpose and that will happen when we cease to exist

Does life make any sense?

What are we doing here? What is our purpose? Why and why do we live if in the end we will cease to exist? Where am I going?. These and several similar questions have crossed my head already on many occasions and also to people close to me. This originates in the concerns of the problem of man and his existence, is linked to classic labels such as "being happy and making others happy", "doing good", etc.

The meaning of life can focus on the objective-subjective relationships of each person’s experience within their daily lives and the people around him.

This question appears in the S. XIX, but it is known that before the ancient age they began to raise questions similar to this. For example, starting with Plato, he says that the objective of men who must completely develop his personality in order to achieve a happiness identified with the harmony of his life.

Then we have Aristotle, who seeks the happiness or calm of the spirit.

"Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the objective and end of human existence" (Aristotle).

We continue with the case of Agustín de Hipona that wonders, what is the purpose of the human being?, The answer to this is that the end of the human being is happiness and it gets to get when man rises to the knowledge and closeness of God discovering his divine footprint.

The only questions that arise then are what happiness consists of, its elements, if happiness can be achieved in this life, you can pursue and all that.

The meaning is something that goes in a specific direction, our life is a movement, an extension between birth and death, is our own path, our current. And the question is leads this path to something?, That is the directional sense that helps to understand whether or not there is a direction in this life.

There is another meaning of meaning, it can be called significant sense, it is the meaning that things mean, for example if I don’t know what a word means I look for it in a dictionary and I will find its meaning, its meaning. It is the value that things have.

The meaning is not only the direction of the movement or meaning that something has, it is also the ability to capture something, it is called a sensitive sense. It is our ability to feel the meaning, the five senses, taste, touch, smell, hearing, sight enter. One thing can make us feel everything for example music when we hear it, we get excited, get emotional, cheerful, etc.

The meaning is then the ability to appreciate things, taste, taste and prove life, consists in opening your senses to the meaning that things have and thus enjoy meaning. An example of this can be when someone dies and others comment liked life, this means that he appreciated life, he liked to enjoy it and do everything.

Then we have 3 senses of life that I know together and are: the directional, who tells us that our life is a path from birth to death, the significant one that wonders if that direction has any meaning, the third the sensitive sensethat gives us the ability to feel things, to open our senses.

As a result, meaning is something that is always in our actions, in thought, in what we want to achieve. That expectation is what should help us a bit the initial question of this essay.

Viktor Frankl places the search for meaning. For him the main need of the human being is the search for the meaning of life. He is facing an existential vacuum, wonders for the meaning of life, he must answer, with his actions, to the questions that life raises and assume the responsibility of his existence. This is how logotherapy creates and this makes the hidden “lego” conscious.

“Every man is asked about life and can only respond to life by responding for his own life;Just being responsible he can answer life. So that logotherapy considers that the intimate essence of human existence is in its ability to be responsible ”(Frankl, 1993).

There is a meaning in life that we can understand, admire it, sometimes explain it and others deny it. We have that great ability to understand the meaning of things. We can understand it, discover it since the reasons for meaning are present in our daily lives, in everything around us.

It is important to have a purpose in our life, since we will live enjoying it and we will not think so much about what can happen after death. And this will depend on each person, since each one has different perspectives of this. Without meaning, our existence would not have value and I think that we are all equally important.

However, I think we will never find an exact definition of what our purpose is here or our meaning, but I have tried to approach what I could most define the different senses there are and how the three connect, since without direction. All we must do is open our senses to the senses that are already there and continue looking for our true purpose here, apart from being happy.

"Who has a why to live, will almost always find how Nietzsche
