Review and summary of Tolstói: how much land a man needs
Introduction
The writing How much land a man needs? It was written in 1886. It is a metaphor about the deep human ambition and where we will witness the physical damage that we can cause to obtain what we want at all costs. The story of Pajon conveys great teaching for all the people who read it, assuming to doubt what is truly matters in life.
The one in this story is León Tolstoy. He was born on August 28/September 9, 1828. He was a Russian novelist, considered one of the most important writers of world literature. The two most important works of León are: Guerra y Paz (1869) and Ana Karénina (1877), they are considered the summit of Russian Russian.
He received several nominations for the Nobel Prize for Literature from 1902 to 1906, he was also nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1901, 1902 and 1910;But he never won, for many he has been a great failure in the Nobel Prize, for others as for me a mystery.

One day when the older sister went to visit her younger sister in the countrythe earth. While all that happened, Pajómón, the lord of the house, he thought that all they needed was more land, and said that ‘if he had a lot of land he would not be afraid of the same devil’;What he didn’t know was that the devil was listening to him.

A lady who owned a land of more or less three hundred acres lived near the town. After seeing an old soldier hired to help her with the handling of her property, the relationship she had with the peasants was different since she put many mutters every time her cattle went to her property.
In the winter the news came that the lady would sell her land and the owner of a inn was negotiating her. When the peasants learned about that they were disturbed and thought that if the land was the owner of the inn it would be worse for them. Then the peasants spoke with the lady to sell the ground to them, the lady accepted. After that the peasants tried to agree but could not reach anything, so they decided to buy the land individually according to their possibilities.
Pajómó. After consulting with his wife the need for land they had, they thought together and with savings plus a loan to their brother -in -law, they went and with a handshake and the document already had a farm of forty acres, with a little forest. Pajómón had its own land and asked for borrowed seeds. After a year he could liquidate his debts.

One day, Pajón was sitting at his house when a farmer who passed through the town knocked on the door. I stayed at night. Pajón asked where he comes from and he said he came from beyond Volga. Between word and word comment that many people were establishing themselves there, that the earth was very good and had an anecdote of a farmer who had arrived with nothing and that today he already had six horses and two cows.
Pajómó thought he did not have to suffer the overpopulation he was living, so he thought about selling his land and house and with the money started again, but he had to go see if it was true, so for summer I was ready to leave. When I arrive it was all just as the farmer told him, the peasants had abundant land. After knowing everything he wanted, he returned home and in summer after seeing everything he left with his family.

After seeing the paperwork, 125 acres were provided in different fields, in addition to the use of the commune’s grasslands. Pajómón built the buildings that required and bought cattle. It was ten times richer than it had been. He had a good wheat harvest in the communal land for a year, but wanted to continue sowing wheat, but he did not have enough land and the one he had used was not accessible;because in that part the wheat only occurs in virgin or barbecha. Three years passed and although I was going well and even accumulated wealth did not feel as the lands were not theirs and had to fight each year for them. Then he began to look. They did not finish arriving at an agreement when a rentier stopped in the property of PajómM to feed his horse. They took tea and started talking. The rentier began to talk about coming from the distant lands of the Bashkires, where he had bought 3,300 acres of land for a thousand rubles. Pajómó. Pajómón I invest on the arrival and as soon as the merchant left, he and his servant undertook the trip. They bought the gifts in a neighboring town as the merchant had advised him. They arrived after 7 days to the place where the Bashkires had their stores. It was all exactly the same as the merchant had told him, they were carefree, ignorant, corpulent and cheerful. They did not know Russian but they were of good nature. When they saw Pajómós they surrounded him. They found an interpreter and he let the Bashkires know that he came to buy land. They were fascinated by the news, Pajómo gave him the gifts and they were even more happy.

While the Bashkires fought the boss with a large cap of fox skin. I immediately look for the best to give it to him, the boss accepted. The Bashkires began to explain to him, and then he went to Pajómón in Russian: ‘So be it . take as much land as you want we have a lot ’.
Pajómón told him that he needed writing since times spend and perhaps their children can take it off. He listened to the Bashkires shouting and shouting, his screams increased his mood, gathered his last strength and continued running.
The sun was hiding, it was already very low but he was also close to his goal. I could see the hat and the boss. Pajómó. When I was about to arrive, everything darkened looked up – the sun had set!. Desperate he thought that everything had been in vain, but realized that at the distance of the Bashkires there was still missing. When he went up he saw the boss laughing and remembered the dream and broke down to cry, his legs no longer gave more and fell forward reaching to touch the hat with his hands. The boss exclaimed ‘how much land I win’. The servant went to raise a pajómmus but he was dead, the Bashkires chopped with the league to show his condolence. The servant took the shovel and dug a grave. Two meters of earth, from head to toe, was the only thing I needed.
Critical comment argued.
After reading two stories from León (Ilia and how much land does a man need?) and investigate the characteristics of some more I have realized that their literature bring a social worldview based on a hierarchical structure of classes. Although the way in which with such a short story can convey such clear teaching, I think not all people with money are greedy, and looking at it from another perspective, it seems that I would like to convey that being conformist is something good,and for me it is not correct to have the same mediocre aspirations;But neither do they misinterpret that money does not give happiness, but I don’t think anyone lives happy having nothing and living in misfortune.
conclusion
We are always looking for the happiness in which we do not yet have, we say that we will be full when we get a good job, then when we have a house and so on, because when that little moment of happiness ends to get what we wanted, the dopamine that radiatesThat moment disappears over time and another need is created, another thing to achieve, but who gives us the certainty of what we will be happy after we fulfill everything we want?
We have to be satisfied with what we have, but not limit ourselves to being able to change our circumstance and that was just what I miss the main character (Pajómam) did not know how to find the limit and that is why he lost everything in an instant.
I feel that this story has many hidden stories, since sometimes we leave our family for looking for better opportunities for them, but we lose our lives and we have no opportunity to enjoy everything we wanted. Sometimes we get about so much work, projects and others and we lose the time to enjoy life and unfortunately life happens even if we don’t want.
