Dr. John President, School of Pharmacy Box 135 Larkin School of Pharmacy 18301, North Miami Avenue Re: Request for Appeal of Dismissal Dear Dr. John, I am writing this letter to appeal my academic dismissal from Larkin School of Pharmacy. As I had failed in two of my classes, I would like to be given a second chance to study Pharmacy in the next academic year in 2021. I admit to having a hard time which affected my performance in class. I do not wish to make any excuses for the abysmal performance. I had been going through a divorce with my husband which contributed to my stress and lack of concentration in my classes. During that time, I was also taking care of my two-year-old child and did not have anyone else to rely on in taking care of the baby. I believe everyone who is passionate deserves a second chance. Some of my accomplishments include an associate degree in prepharmacy that I obtained from Miami Dade College and a bachelor in microbiology in cell science from the University of Florida. I have been involved in voluntary work in the past and in 2013 I became a certified nursing assistant. Please understand that my failure in the two examinations do not reflect my general performance as I was going through a hard time. Currently, I have resolved my issues and hired someone to help me in taking care of my child meaning that I will have more time dedicated to my studies. I love Larkin School of Pharmacy and would like to continue my education and graduate. I hope that my passion for Pharmacy, my commitment, and my accomplishments will be reason enough for you to consider my appeal. Sincerely, Student
