In a world of whites, black is the perfect white
Since May 26, on the streets, stage and place of protests, after the outrage and death of African -American George Floyd, the phrase ‘I can’t breathe!’, Floyd’s expression who struck mercy before the white agent who had it on the floor with a knee by pressing his neck.
Although, the United States has ended the laws of slavery and segregation that have been present throughout the history of the country, little has been done to change the mentality of many people, formed from the racist notions on whichThose structures settled.
Discrimination and racial and ethnic inequalities remain in force and omnipresent in this country. Likewise, the efforts made by the US government to solve this important problem are insufficient.
According to the Police Department, the Minneapolis agent seen in a video with the knee in George Floyd’s neck had 18 previous complaints filed against him against internal matters of the Minneapolis Police Department, said CNN.
All Americans who are not black have fed on a daily propaganda diet from parents, schools, church and the media. The institutionalization of American racism occurs rapidly.
Under prejudices and obsessive concern, it has been instilled that people of color, and especially blacks, are not people to trust. To this, terms such as criminals or criminals, violent or predators are added to this. Once again, American racism has adopted new forms and practices that allow the survival and persistence of cultivating “the privilege of the white coordinated with his fondness for power”.
The police presence is not the determining factor of this daily and daily racism, but it is one of its hardest manifestations. George Floyd’s case fueled and motivated African -American communities to join a collective claim for respect for their rights.
There is no absolute certainty about the temporal and territorial origins of racism. The racial problem and aberration towards the black race can be understood by taking three determining factors as axes: the historical, the social and the psychological, causing the accentuation and deepening of a repressive and stratified social system.
Currently, racism ceased to exist in US legislation, but, violently coexists in the bosom lacking respect and tolerance.
