Introduction

Ethnic discriminatory acts have manifested since ancient times as well as today, underestimating with greater proportion to low -class people. Decisions and attitudes in response are usually ignorant to this situation, not only referring to common people but also those who are part of certain entities and institutions based on their policies to convenience;However, in the educational field with respect to the medical career there are obstacles to applicants, due to lack of purchasing power, racial discrimination, among others, therefore, the privilege is the upper class and those who meet the requirements of the organization. This present work aims to publicto the content during the development of this.

Developing

According to (Shirane, 2011) racial discrimination is “any act of distinction, exclusion, restriction or preferences based on race, color, lineage or national or ethnic origin that intends to annul or impair recognition, enjoyment or exercise in conditions of equal equality, of rights and freedoms ". It is true that many times it relates it as an action of aggressiveness or rejection, but it can be noted through this concept that the gesture of racial discrimination implies other practices that society sees it as something very common and in turn they are generating a context ofmaterial inequality in certain people and make them feel strange because of their dissimilar characteristics and cultural.

The differences that each human being carries make him unique and special with his innumerable ways of thinking, working, creating, innovating, and more. On the one hand, being positive, it could be commented that obstacles or barriers will always exist, alone, it should not be allowed to intervene or influence the proposed goals and the potential obtained. In another case, will it have the necessary resources to achieve this or not?, In fact, it is something a bit contradictory or perhaps in order to create false hopes;However, here the inequality of social classes is intervened or involved.

number of graduates, branch or specialty of the degree and the fact that there is a demand

work that keeps high salaries in professionals ”.

Undoubtedly, the medicine career is one of the most demanded worldwide and of course one of which study implies resources, in the case of public universities it is required for the acquisition of books or other materials that request inthe process. To access a better quality education with updated equipment and more benefits, you should choose to study in private universities, therefore, it involves pension payments and other instruments. In other words, people who have greater purchasing power or who are in middle and high class are more likely to study this career.

Regarding the different motivations and interests of medical students in the first years of careMedicine studies, the people who are studying this career today present a high social, intellectual and scientific motivation, which agrees with the findings obtained by Feather (Soria, 2006).

In international universities, racial discrimination has been more proportion at the time they do not allow students from other countries because they do not want to relate to people from another race, different customs, etc. However, now changes are shown, not quite, but at least it has decreased considerably. Subestimating a person’s ability to have unbalanceing features is not a good option, since, despite not having the purchasing power, it can be prepared, suffering some times and with constant efforts, until you get to obtain scholarships, after accrualing itWith certain years of work.

In recent years, Latin America experienced an increase in the number of students entering higher education. Associated with economic growth and effective social policies developed in the region, the rate of people studying at the university level went from 10% in 1970 to 40% in 2011, according to UNESCO data. However, the entrance to the university remains extremely restrictive to most Latin American countries and especially affects the poorest sectors of the population. That is at least what different international organizations support, such as ECLAC.

The specialists consulted by Agenda Equality agree that the university-Latin American enrollment rate could not have grown at an accelerated pace if it had not been by the policies implemented by the progressive governments that expanded in the region during the last 15 years

  • Several studies show that the access of low -income people to the university world is highly positive for the welfare and social progress of a community
  • In conclusion, it is clear that an open and democratic, quality and non -exclusive university in Latin America can be the best and most effective antidote against the enormous inequality that persists in this region.
