Incomplete abortion is one of the most frequent obstetric emergencies. It is the second most common cause of gyneco-objecttric hospitalization in most health establishments in developing countries, but when a woman enters them, it is difficult to determine whether the abortion process has been spontaneous or induced under conditions under conditionspotentially insecure;However, it is estimated that about 90% of the insecure abortions carried out throughout the world are carried out in developing countries.

Abortion has been recognized as one of the most relevant public health problems, since it constitutes a very high risk factor of maternal morbidity and mortality constituting therefore in a cause of real concern;However, in most underdeveloped countries, public agencies do not invest in this problem, and when they do, the approach is inappropriate, which makes the impact reduced and abortion continue its course.

In Peru as well as in the region and particularly in the Regional Teaching Hospital of Cajamarca, incomplete abortion is also a serious public health problem, because almost daily women with hemorrhage or infections arrive, a consequence of an incomplete abortion;And although on many occasions, it is difficult to know if it is spontaneous or induced it is more importantsome degree of depression;that guide to identify the problem as it is, which will strengthen health prevention programs, family planning and sexual education, aimed at the population in general and specially to women who are in reproductive age and who are morevulnerable to presenting this condition.

On the other hand, identify the factors associated with incomplete abortion, will not only have extensive knowledge of this phenomenon, but the results will be made available to the medical and obstetric community, so that they are used as the foundation that they help in theformation of a criterion responsible for the whole society and the adoption of joint decisions, to prevent this phenomenon from continuing to havoc more Peruvian families and particularly Cajamarquinas;but it will allow to influence them and improve the conditions under which women face the problem, being benefit for women, their family and the community, as well as for obstetrics professionals.
