Positive emotions:

Positive psychology is defined as the scientific study of human positive functioning, positive experiences, virtues and institutions that improve the quality and life of the human being. It is defined by the American psychologist Martin and.P. Seligman in 1999.

Emotions are an affective state that causes organic changes at the physiological and endocrine level. These are experienced and have an instant reaction, which can classify between positive and negative.

Positive emotions are those who are associated with pleasant feelings and reactions that cause compliance to a person caused by a situation of benefit towards the person. In the workplace and learning, these bring benefits such as increased concentration, memory, awareness, attention, productivity and metacognition. These are:

  • Acceptance: approval of a specific situation.
  • Affection: Feel love or affection for someone or something.
  • Thanks: esteem towards someone who has done something for us and emerge to want to return it.
  • Joy: feeling manifested by a good mood that involves satisfaction
  • Love: feeling of affection or affection for someone or something, which causes happiness.
  • Welfare: State in which the person is in a balance in the proper functioning of the physical and psychic parts.
  • Fun: concentrate attention on something and feel a hybrid between well -being and joy
  • Hope: trust of achieving a goal

Negative emotions:

They are the opposite of positive emotions. Negative emotions are those that cause unpleasant feelings. These make us more tired and scattered. They also warn us of a problem or challenge to be solved, which helps in the search for solutions for that problem which generates disagreement towards our person. These are

However, it should be noted that both types of emotions are fundamental and normal in people because they are parts of the person. To have a healthy psychology and good general performance, an emotional balance is required with the two types of emotions.

My emotions when doing sports

When doing physical activity, I consider that I experience well -being, fun, serenity and if I feel satisfied with the results I feel pride. When playing sports, most people feel positive feelings due to the release of hormones such as:

  • Noreprenaline
  • Endorphins
  • Vasopressin
  • Benefits of the experimentation of positive emotions

To have emotional balance, a balance between positive and negative emotions is required to have qualities in favor, those of positive and negative emotions. The emotional balance is so important that WHO added mental well -being to the health definition. The basis for having emotional balance is knowing how to control, recognize and reflect on your emotions, its causes and consequences.

The main practices to have emotional balance are:

  • Physical health
  • Reflection, analysis and emotional meditation
  • Rest
  • Breathing
  • Have stable and healthy relationships and create new dependent sentimental links
  • Think before act
  • Mark goals and intentions
  • Focus of attention

To conclude, I consider that the exercise and physical health for health psychology is essential due to the positive emotions they cause. However, I consider that it is better to have emotional balance to positive emotions given that the excess of positive emotions can be harmful to psychological and physical health due to the forcing of positive emotions
