Introduction
Pneumonia is an infectious condition of the respiratory tract, which directly affects the lungs, these organs are formed by the alveoli, which in people who enjoy health are filled with air when breathing, when these alveoli have pneumonia are full ofpus and liquid, producing pain to breathe and limiting oxygen absorption.
Developing
The most affected groups are the elderly and children, however the disease can be shown at any age of life, without sexual discrimination, marital status, occupation or origin. It is estimated that pneumonia kills about 1.4 million infants under five years old, more than AIDS, malaria and measles combined.

General symptoms

Pneumonia can spread through various ways. Viruses and germs usually present in nostrils or throat can contaminate the lungs when they are inhaled. They can also spread by air, in goticles produced in coughing or sneezing and through blood, especially in childbirth and in the immediately posterior period.
The cleanliness of hospital equipment must be used and in the manipulation of the patients, frequent hand washing and the use of gloves and mask.
