ORIGINS OF THE INVENTION OF THE RADIO.

Introduction.

On June 10, 1900 Brazil had its first contact with the invention of the radio. This is due to Roberto Landell de Moura, priest and scientist from San Paulseas.

On September 7, 1922, as the first approaches to radial transmissions, during the Centennial celebration of the Independence of Brazil, the first distance transmission, of the speech of Epitácio Pesoa, former president of that country, was conducted. Thanks to this event, Pessoa decides to designate the General Office of Posts and Telegraphs, as well as the Department of Transportation and Public Works as those responsible for regulating radio transmissions. It also establishes an advertising treaty through this new medium.

However, it was not until 1923 that the first transmission was made, thanks to the donation of a transmitter of the Pean House, Buenos Aires, said instrument in charge of capturing and transmitting the radio signals, was installed at the Polytechnic School of Brazil.

Developing.

Many of the first stations were founded by clubs or societies of friends who were curious about the transmission of voices and long distance sounds. Some of the recognized pioneer radios are Radio Sociedad de Río de JaneirAnd it was the first to be authorized by the Ministry of Traffic and Public Works of Brazil.

From 1923 to the next year, large amounts of radio stations began to be founded, including the most the most outstanding are the Radio Sociedad Gaucho, since it is considered a pioneer in the south of the country and the Radio Club Bello Horizonte, founded in Minas Gerais, because it is the first to have a 500 -watt transmitter in the gaucho country.

Eight years later, on May 27, 1931, during the Government of Getulio Vargas Decree 20 was presented.047, where it was about establishing a model similar to North America with respect to radio transmissions. In this decree, two fundamental issues were emphasized: the granting of private channels and the legality of commercial publication. These new laws were only accepted until March 1, 1932 with Decree 21.111.

Conclusions.

In 1934, Vargas decided to institute the press and propaganda department, such as the transmission content control. Four years later it would be a decisive year for radio in Brazil, since after the beginning of the World Cup, which was held in France, as well as the rumors of an alleged war in Europe, they made the radio one of the mainmeans of information, thus increasing the number of radio listeners.
