One hundred years of loneliness: Latin American novel

Introduction

This fragment is the great beginning of a novel "One Hundred Years of Solitude" in which with a subsequent investigation it was possible to find out that the book is composed of twenty chapters not titled, in which a story is told with a temporary cyclic structure, put onthat the events of the people and the Buendía family, as well as the names of the characters, are repeated again and again. With this unique fragment that is part of the first chapter, it is already possible to find that there are time paradoxes, with it problems identifying what is the reality through which the characters pass or from whom from the Buendía family are talking. The case of José The father of Colonel Aurelian.

Developing

It is part of the style and purpose of the story, it is said that it is one of the most translated and famous books, since different words are used to describe objects to how we are accustomed to what throughout the whole narrative must be decodedvery thoroughly to understand what history means us. The author emphasizes well the historical time in which it occurs to achieve coherence in the reactions and actions of the characters and this is basically an ignorant people. That makes it clear that they are inexperienced in many things. The people themselves live isolated from modernity, always waiting for the arrival of the gypsies to bring the new inventions, where the character of Melquiades is a rather bulky and scandalous gypsy man according to the description.

That brings the new invention that swears to be one of the seven wonders of the world, the magnet, the protagonist invention of the story that apparently describes it only as "two iron bullion" that attracts and moves metal things for its historical context. Then, in history another character is attached with the same last name, José Arcadio Buendía, who does not mention who it is. But by deduction it is possible to understand that it is part of the family of the first character. This proves to be a different character, who recognizes that the people do not know about many things and that gypsies could get ready with them;Seeing the new object that the gypsy Melquiads had taken to the town to attract and move objects of metal and nails, he shows that he has a great imagination and creativity when looking for a better utility.

He thought about using the magnet to get gold from the earth, the gypsy Melquiads warned him that he did not work for that. But he did not insist because in the end if he found nothing, it would only be his fault. José ignored what he told him and bartered with the gypsy for iron billets. Which in the end turns out to be a failed idea, because despite following step by step what the gypsy did to use the object only ends up finding a rusty armor. The author seems to write what could have been the birth of a man attracted to science in the midst of a world of ignorant where he does not know who can be right and wishes to discover it by himself, but however despite being safeand dazzled by his great idea this ends up being unreal. A case that could have existed at some point a scientist or inventor.

The idea of marking the context a lot in history is for the reader to be in it and feel empathy with the character. To understand how difficult it can be to have an idea where you have no source to acquire and validate your knowledge rather than testing them, trying and forgetting the probability that it cannot happen as we plan. In my judgment I think it is a story that entertains you for having to decode several words in the course of being so peculiar. Because it is only a fragment of the novel, the main idea does not go towards "trying and not surrendering" but it is an impression and a natural concept that can be reached, how is it that the character of José Aureliano could nothave some gram of insecurity despite warnings and ignorance?

It is an idea that can be easily predicted. In this small fragment you can see values and skills such as persistence, trust, curiosity, as well as antivalores that may be exaggeration or even arrogance. Sometimes we as human beings want to avoid errors at all costs. As well as the thoughts that could be false illusions, the imagination beyond reality and sometimes without realizing this leads people to take arrogant attitudes and this is when it is thought that people can contribute very little and also the insistent idea ofthat could be wrong, this only prevents establishing connections that you might need later. You have to learn to solve the fear that prevents itself from being in a state of not knowing and putting it in a personal research object.

And see it in an enriching way, we can take the great opportunity to know us better, learn from it and correct. This story makes us see and remember that there could be a person without the knowledge of something and still decided to try, the fear of not knowing is a fairly normal and daily feeling either by fear of the judgment of others, to whichThey see him clumsy, or for fear of feeling oneself as an ignorant. In that case, you can find difficulties in being curious, which will be an obstacle in learning. We all make mistakes, it is normal. On a few occasions we have all the data on the factors and elements involved in a situation, so that all we can do when facing it.

conclusion

Is to make a decision from the information we have. If that decision informs us that we have made a mistake, we will have expanded the data and we will be able to avoid that error in future situations and this is a normal learning process in which many perhaps adopted that today we know as scientists who fought toAny cost to check their hypotheses, but at the same time collaborate with others in order to lookWe need to recover curiosity and ability to learn and overcome fear of failure.
