Oedipus Rey myology

Introduction

Greek mythology was one’s own ideology in the people of antiquity, who were represented by different gods, which began a philosophy of life with rules and duties for each individual, which influence the way of thinking and acting of them. This aspect develops in the Oedipus King work that through its author Sophocles involves the god Zeus and Apollo in development, and the development in the characters of the work, Zeus the God of all the gods and apolo the God of poetry, who, whoThey are very important in the main plot of the work, fate and death.

Developing

Above all, fate, was present in the work as an irreversible conviction that cannot be specifically interrupted in the main character, that his only way was only death. The destination for pure decency is not possible to know, but that in this work this work presents us with the ability to interpret it, known as oracles who were typical of the time and culture of Sophocles, who at the same time are the cause of the problems between the problems between the problems betweenthe main characters about their destiny and the actions they would take before this fact. Sophocles received at a basketful era developed in the intellectual sense, as he was an Athenian citizen because he had many social advantages.

All this led him to understand and interpret the events of his time very well, since he involves social, historical, cultural, ideological and more in his work Oedipus Rey, who would be involved in the impossibility of editing his destiny and resulting as a consequenceMany problems for the characters that participate in the work, being the union of several aspects of the time that they eventually became so independent of superstition and at the same time lead him to his conviction. Is there a correlation between the destination and the ideologies of the historical context of the work, to take the main character to death? The ideology of the characters contributes strongly to the development of their personality and decisions, who are involved in a development where their destiny cannot be changed.

It is here that these two variables have a meeting point, being the first one, among many, to develop and present themselves, and that as a consequence, it gives us a result in which the destination is already written and they, as simple mortals,They are simple pieces in a game of chance, whether they are kings or simple people. Through this connection we have the representation of the first variable, the ideologies of the characters. This has a purpose, which is influenced by another ideology that complemented the gods, superstition. These no longer wanted to play under the rules of a superior, because Oedipus being king already tried to defend his reasons, but that through the oracle the truth about his actions would be revealed.

This paragraph presents the participation of a character who speaks collectively, because he says that the gods are the ones who possess knowledge and authority about mortals, but that they have found a way to match them.  This creates a problem and that they cannot control that virtue, they would not be layers of doing something good with it. This is undoubtedly represented as a huge consequence, since trying to control that aspect, they themselves condemn, and only those who understand that they cannot control the uncontrollable will be able to live with a wisdom that does not play to be gods, butTo recognize and locate them as such.

A fragment represents the use of metaphors and analogies, with a formal language, which is used with the intention of involving the interpretations and ideas of the author in common language.  These metaphors are the essences of the work at all times, its use to relate objects, scenarios and solutions, embellish the main writing and plot. On the other hand, the participation of Creon, the brother -in -law of Oedipus, who would be one of the main characters to begin the consequences of predicting fate. This is represented as someone outraged by the actions of his brother, who does not accept a wrong idea about reality, and how before revealing him he had gone to the oracle, he knew that Oedipus should suffer.

This is how Creon takes over the absolute authority of Thebes. Then I would expel Oedipus and thus fulfill a destination that was already written for the main character. Again we see the use of formal language in its greatest capacity, with the application of metaphor and analogies, to suffer in a subtle way the author’s ideas about the development of the characters, who does not access the use of other rhetorical figures, but only toa single resource, formal language and its wealth as such by metaphors. Yes, the correlation between ideologies and destiny has been demonstrated. The first is presented as to a starting point, which we see with the gods, Zeus and Apollo.

Because they had their respect for mortals, their virtues, and that they influence the actions and ways of thinking, because they are also mentioned as lawyers or executioners. This in its development shows us a limit, because being a unique quality of them, they would be achieved by mortals, which among their attempts to achieve it, suffered the consequences of knowing something as important as the destiny of each person. Finally, the anger Oedipus Rey presents a variety of plots and bases to be written, you are all being typical of their writings. Sophocles, who would tell us a representation of the social, cultural and ideological situations of his time, to create a story that uses as a basis a formal language and the desires of each human being for trying more and more the uncontrollable.

conclusion

In such a way that it envelops us in a story where there are many possibilities and opportunities of each character, but that those have a starting point to challenge laws far from their possibilities. This poses us that if it is correct to believe to be able to control our environment to our own will, since if we do we should a better participation in it, but that this work shows us the worst consequences of such actions, being a barrier that nobody should cross, and that if you decide to do so you will have to cling to the consequences, which in this case was the impossibility of changing its destiny.
