Is there a destiny, that way or pre -established path for man, which he only has to travel? No, each one molds their way with their decisions. The Greek works handle two essential components on which the plot of the stories, such as love or tragedy, usually turns, the latter being the genre most used by the writers of ancient Greece;These narrative genres seem totally opposite, however the bond that unites them is very strong, even though love is the center of almost any writing, only an act or decision is needed so that love becomes tragedy. Because of the tragedy "Oedipus Rey", a story that revolves around the destiny of a man, many people after reading have come to think that we have a fixed path, but it is correct to affirm that man has no choice on his way.

The work "Oedipus Rey" by the author Sophocles is a tragedy that tells the life of Oedipus, son of the kings of Thebes, Layo and Yocasta. When Oedipus is born, an oracle predicts that his "destiny" is to kill his father and marry his mother, thereand raised by the kings of Corinth. No, the history of Oedipus Rey only introduces us to the thoughts of the author Sophocles, who were influenced by the beliefs of the time, where it was common to think that supernatural gods and creatures influenced our path. According to that, Sophocles writes that an oracle had predicted that Oedipus is destined to kill his father and marry his mother however Oedipus also acted in an ignorant way to do anything to flee what the oracle had told him. “It was said that he would kill his parents.”(Sophocles, P.twenty-one). Oedipus does not stop to analyze the statement of the oracle, act impulsively and believe that what has been told is the absolute truth. We see that Sophocles wrote "Oedipus King" with a belief in destiny, since in ancient times there was a lot of value to the power of the gods on the will of man. However, the story could have had a different end, Oedipus could not have gone to the oracle, continue his life, and possibly over time he gets to know that his biological parents were not Pólibo and Mérope, but Layo and Yocasta. However, his impulsive attitude is what leads him to commit desperate acts, we see that Oedipus admits that he acted without thinking of an ocation “I, who had departed to me, to the driver of the car, hit him moved by anger.”(Sophocles, P.14).
No one is destined to do others, commonly those who harm others are people who have lived in a harmful environment, strong emotional situations or have some mental illness, the human does not tend to evil. Therefore, the rationality of which man is endowed that recentNazca with an evil path or a predestined evil end would therefore be necessary that there be such a thing as destiny, however, the actions that we take on the road affect the course of our life which is molded by our decisions and not by aDestination, the Cosmic Caus-Effect Law shows that all our actions have an effect then the problem with using the work of Sophocles as an argument that there are predestined people is that the work is based on ancient beliefs that have been discarded. To illustrate how life works and decisions think of an archer, who when competes only looks at the final result, which many consider destiny, but in the end the result that said competitor achieves is based on previous actions that make usget to that moment, for example physical preparation. So for many unexpected events that arise, such as the wind, which can affect the course of the arrow, the path we follow in life is drawn by our personal actions, it is true that they are usually distorted a little by thewinds of life, but in the end our path is set by our actions.

So man is not born with a path ready to be traveled and nobody is intended to act in a predestined way, we all choose our path. Everyone chooses to believe, and what he believes will be his truth. A clear example of this is the tickets, they are only pieces of paper. Do you really have value? No, they don’t have it, but we all believe yes. Oedipus was carried away by what he believed, was impatient and acted with foolishness. The tragedies such as the one described in "Oedipus Rey" are not a fruit of a destination but of several actions carried out at some time that led to that end.
