Nigeria and its natural wealth
Introduction
Africa is a very diverse continent with immense cultural wealth and with countless natural wonders. On this occasion, we go to Western Africa to discover the highest point in Nigeria. It is the Waddi or Gangirwal Chappal, the Mountain of Death. GASHAKA-GUMTIEL GANGIRWAL PARK RAISES 2.419 meters above sea level and is part of the Adamawa plateau which extends from the southeast part of Nigeria and northern Cameroon to the Central African Republic. The part of the Nigerian territory is popularly known as the Gotel mountains and are part of the Gashaka-Gumti National Park.
Developing
This park, with an extension of 6.700 square kilometers, is the most extensive in Nigeria. His name derives from two of the oldest settlements in the region: the village of Gashaka in the state of Taraba and the village of Gumti in the state of Adamawa. If they are interested in visiting this region and getting to the highest point in Nigeria, they must move to the small village of Jauro Hammasale. From Jauro Hammasale you can see the majestic mountain and we can understand the reason for the name you have. The walk proper, begins in this small village, a typical community where they can observe the life forms of the villagers and can feel their warm hospitality. The tour can last between eight and ten days when remote rural communities can be visited and explore paths in search of wildlife. The route follows the hydrographic basins along the border between Cameroon and Nigeria.
The route is directed by expert local guides and assisted by local chefs and porters, releasing the visitor from the heavy loads of the camp and cooking at the end of the walking day.
