New technologies to improve crops
Introduction
Technology has taken a very important turn in people, in several aspects, since they arrive as new tools looking for high efficacy and productivity. The technology regarding agriculture, have developed different technologies that help the industry with a productive and sustainable agriculture. Climate change and high food demand has led to implementing new technologies, because population growth is estimated in a third, that is, food production must increase by 70 percent.
In the end of the first decade of the 21st century the world has produced enough foods to maintain a world population. However, in some developed countries, 1 of 6 people will suffer famine. Agricultural activity must adapt to the introduction of new technologies to improve their processes and get better income.
The introduction of technology in agriculture is of great importance, since it is one of the sectors in charge of food, because they are responsible for giving food security to countries around the world, faced daily problem living with the same environmentthe shortage of water being a main entity to be able to produce food and in turn the increase in population and the impoverishment of the same. For this reason we make known through this training small and large farmers of the Agusto parish. N. Martínez the great importance of new technologies that are being introduced in the agricultural field and that will be of great help for their daily life.
Developing
It began with the training, where a study of climate change was conducted that affected its production in recent times, focused on the province of Tungurahua, where most farmers had economic losses, and they did not know about technological innovations, weWe enter more in the Agusto Parish. N. Martínez where several farmers had to abandon their crops and go to exercise another type of employment, since the lack of information and lack of training made that tough decision make.
For training we elaborate PowerPoint presentations, posters, leaflets, explanatory videos where we present some of the new technologies applied to their crops one of them the use of drones for topography and fumigation where the costs are very high, but with the help of public institutionsor private could obtain this team and thus take advantage of their crops.
We also announced a dose technology of fertilizers where it deals with controllers and machinery that allows it to dose fertilizers in a precise way through an application made by GIS where we mention that GPS is very helpful to be able to be able to the location of the equipment in its field. Farmers reacted in a positive way and accepted the agreement with said private institution where they would be helped with the teams and personnel trained for their management.
For this we have a great contribution from the Private Agricultural Foundation Brother Peasant from the province of Tungurahua where it focuses on the small farmers, this time to the farmers of the Agusto Parish. N. Martínez, helping them with the rental of drones in exchange for their products to be marketed through this foundation, and thus can optimize their income and be part of this project.
Thanks to the support provided by the Private Agricultural Foundation Brother Peasant. N. Martínez when they make the use of their machinery in exchange for selling their products to this foundation at a good price, thus having an option to grow their business and instill in people that agriculture is standing out today worldwide.
The attendees were animated by what we will provide the training of these teams that will be very helpful for each of the farmers and thus introduce technology into agriculture for their innovation and development of farmers. Product prices were set to market where the trained and the foundation agreed in the best way without being harmed either parties. Seeing the form and kindness of this foundation the farmers were very grateful.
- Technologies must be consistent and accessible, and most importantly be to the needs of low -income farmers.
- The lack of information or communication, causes a very relevant obstacle to small agricultural farmers, limiting access to the benefit of new technologies, this means that they cannot use improved methods for their production through technology.
- To grow in agricultural productivity with the help of technology, it must be widelyIntegrated pest management and management.
conclusion
Farmers from the Agusto parish were trained. N. Martínez belonging to the province of Tungurahua, where topics of great importance of new technologies for the improvement of their crops were discussed, where the subject was very interested and reached an agreement to receive more training for the improvement of their crops
The farmers mentioned that it is very difficult to obtain this technology because they are misinformed and it is very expensiveBe in vain.
The trained were very interested in learning because most people left the activities in the countryside and went to the city, but with the country’s instability they are forced to return to their agricultural activities, being forced to innovate their crops to take advantageof their lands and therefore a good economic income.
