Modernity in Ecuadorian science fiction
Introduction
Fantasy is about what general opinion considers impossible: science fiction is about what general opinion considers possible under certain circumstances circumstances. We understand science fiction as an unusual literary genre to analyze and represent in studies texts, but like all literature, contains and images and symbolic representations that are understood as convoluted and signifiers of an existing modernity or by existing or by existing.

In the first story, Fiat Lux!, There is no talk of a character as such, rather they place us about the different activities and characteristics that a supernatural light that moves through the universe and time. The unique way of describing this leading element as well as the strangeness and aesthetics of the story can simpor something beautiful and pleasant that means more than life. In reference to the style in which it is written we can relate it to the following appointment made by Rama;We find gathering the last romanticism, realism, naturalism, Parnassianism, symbolism, etc., that give modernism their peculiar syncretic configuration, literary tendencies that we can find in the story and that lead to relate.
In the story we observe how symbols can be related to the passage of time, the continuous change and progress of society and its physical context, as referring to a natural evolution that compares with the passage to modernity.
