Medicine Summer Seminar
Introduction
Medicine has always captivated my attention from an early age. I am very interested in learning more about the human body and knowing how to help people to live a healthy life. Therefore, I would like to be an oral surgeon, thoracic or dentist cardio surgeon. I’m not sure what profession I want to choose from, but I know I want one of those three.
Developing
I think that by participating in this program I would help me a lot in the future and I could also help you choose which profession would be better for me. For this reason I would like to have the opportunity to be selected to participate in the Summer Seminary offered by the Medical Sciences Campus. In the summer of 2019 I had the opportunity to work in the Government of Puerto Rico. Work from June 10 to July 2. The program with whom I was working was with the Office of Legislative Services (OSL).
It was a very good experience and I liked working. I learned how to work in situations that have to act quickly. After working in the government, I realized that what I really passionate about is medicine. I would love to have the experience of working in the Medicine area. Since childhood I have always liked to help people.
At the age of ten I already knew that I wanted to study something related to medicine. In the science class I liked to learn about the organs that are the body and what they worked for, especially the heart. The heart is very important for the human body to survive. I would like to have the opportunity to learn more about body organs. Studying about the heart is very important. Heart surgery helps many people. Help repair heart damage to pump the blood correctly. It is also important to insert the patient with irregular beats a pacemaker to correct the beats and to make a heart transplant.
That is why I like heart surgery and it is very important. The area of oral or dentist surgery also attracts my attention. I always said that I wanted to be a dentist. I’m still interested in being a dentist, but I also love surgery. I love surgery a lot.
conclusion
I think it could be both, dentist and oral surgeon, because both specialize in dental, only that oral surgery take four to six years of practice after studying dental. Oral surgery is important for many things to get the Cordales, to fix the affected area to children who are born with the leporino lip, and many more things. I still don’t know which one I like the most because I both like them enough.
