Introduction

Magnetism is a property presented by magnets and electric currents by exercising actions at a certain distance, examples of these actions are;Attractions and mutual repulsions, the imanation by influence and production of induced electric currents. The magnetic forces are due to the interactions of the electrons between two or more bodies, when this interaction is coordinated it is because it is the interior of a magnetized body if on the contrary the interaction is not coordinated, it can be said that it is aboutan unbelied body.

General objective

  • Make the design of a prototype of a magnetic induction engine through which they can be evaluated and also experimentally check some concepts of magnetostatic.

Specific objectives

  • Identify that it is a solenoid, its use and function within the magnetic field by observing its behavior within the magnetic induction engine.
  • Know the existing relationship between the magnetic field and the current that circulates on each of the turns that make up the solenoid and thus establish analogies with the angular velocity of the magnetic induction engine and why it occurs.
  • Examine the experimental relationship that exists between the magnetic field generated by the electromagnet, the length of the wire with which the coil was built and also with a current that circulates through the coil.

Developing

A magnetic field is a mathematical description of the magnetic influence of electric currents and magnetic materials. The magnetic field anywhere is specified by two values, direction and magnitude;in such a way that it is a vector field. Specifically, the magnetic field is an axial vector, such as mechanical moments and rotational fields. 

The magnetic field is more commonly defined in terms of Lorentz’s force exerted on electric charges. It is created through a mobile load or current, in addition to creating a magnetic field, and an electric field is also being generated. The magnetic field also exerts a force on any load or moving current present in the field.

Solenoid

Any physical device is known as a solenoid with the ability to create a very strong and uniform magnetic field inside, and very weak abroad. An isolated and enrolled thread coil helicidally, indeterminate length is a frequent example of a solenoid. Since its magnetic field would be uniform inside and, as a consequence, outside it would be void.

This field is defined as a cylindrical coil composed of a thread of rolled conductive material on itself, with the reason that, with the passage of the electric current, an intense magnetic field is generated. When this magnetic field appears, it begins to operate as a magnet;The magnetic field generated can be compared to that of a straight magnet.
