Learning diary about pencils night
The film The night of the pencils recreates the real event known by the same name, took place in September 1976, during the first months of the last Argentine military dictatorship, where seven adolescents in the city of La Plata were kidnapped, tortured andKilled for asking for a free student ticket that of course had access in the past administration.
The film for its part, recreates the story from the beginning of the student protests of 1975 to 1980, when the only survivor of the kidnapped group was released. The first part of the film recounts the activity of adolescents and the abominable invasion in which they were kidnapped and imprisoned;The second narrates the circumstances of the prison and torture of young people, in parallel to the situation of the families of the captives and that of their oppressors.
However, within the most important aspects, this film in its essence shows the harsh reality in terms of the violation of people’s human rights is, for example, the objective of this dictatorship was to be able to neutralize youthThose thoughts that had against them, however, all this were infusing their fear and trying to change their thought with which it was much easier for Argentine society to adapt, thus removing their right to free expression and thought. In this way, failing to submit young people to this change, they became the greatest enemy of the dictatorship that at that time worked in Argentina.
As a result, to the refusal of young people, the government chose to implement certain "preventive methods", where there is a clear violation of human rights, since they applied torture, kidnappings, "mysterious disappearances of people" this to scare others, and thus be able to guarantee the fact that young people would be with the regime and not against. But as in everything, there are people who threaten them or harass them with things, they do not fall into the networks of governments and this was just what happened the night of the pencils.
Although at that time there was already a fairly large number of kidnappings and disappearances, more or less 250 people disappeared during this repression, some of them in ages between 15 and 18 years, it should be noted that this was only the beginning ofWhat would become one of the most important historical events in Argentina.
According to left web (2019), by 1983, the military dictatorship comes to an end, overwhelmed by the economic crisis, the Malvinas disaster and the irruption of thousands and thousands in the streets, fighting against the military and for democratic rights. All aberrations that carried out repressive forces had already been denounced during the dictatorship by the mothers and grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo (who by the way played a fundamental role in this whole story) and also by political organization that, despite the terrorism ofState, they continued denouncing horrors, as well as fighting the military economic plan.
In 1985, as a consequence of these struggles, democracy, and the exit in the light of terror, the trial was carried out to the Boards, where only the main military managers were judged, to which the Boards headed. In these judgments, Pablo Díaz, one of the survivors, through his testimony, managed that the night of the pencils take notoriety by counting the kidnappings and subsequent torture of him and his companions, as well as the disappearance of those who did not achievesurvive.
Today thanks to them and the subsequent investigations stories of other victims and others, it can be understood that what happened both with the victims of the night of the pencils in particular, as well as the civic-military dictatorship in general, in addition to horrible, it isunforgivable. Since they tried through terror, torture, murder and forced disappearance, eliminate any trace of that youth and that working class that questioned the conditions of exploitation to the majorities, and ascended in terms of consciousness and organization.
Mini-reflection
It is a pity that despite the different historical facts that humanity has had to witness over the years, there is no reference of such antecedents, in order to avoid all the current problems that are now seen and lived inone country and in another.
In this way, the fact that today, it is common to look at that there are millions of people suffering, going hungry, cold, others crying the loss of a loved one because of a few who imposed and abused power,that many were conferred by their same people or nation;And that although many of these are manifested by asking them to restore their rights and that they stop injustices there is nothing that can be done.
Finally, it is due to these injustices that we must rethink a change as a society, therefore, it is essential that we all educate ourselves in order to be part of those who fight against those who believe they have the power and commit the injustices. On the other hand, it constitutes a moral obligation for the free voices of the world to rise to combat all those violations of human rights that support almost a hundred questioned governments.
