Impact of global climate change
When we talk about climate change, we refer to the global alteration of the earth’s climate composed of the hydrosphere, the atmosphere, the lithosphere, the cryose and the biosphere. This occurs both for natural causes and the actions of man. They also produce very different time scales and on all climatic parameters, such as temperature, rainfall, among others.
It is worth highlighting all the impacts generated by climate change in natural ecosystems, according to research, all terrestrial ecosystems, fresh and sailor water, as well as the species that inhabit them, are already harmed because of climate change. And the impacts related to people can occur from the growth of various diseases, to variation in fisheries and decrease in agricultural yields.
For example, in the aquatic ecosystem, different consequences such as water temperature and hydrological changes have occurred lately. In streams, temperature increase can lead to species extinction. In stagnant waters, biotic communities will have various consequences for a series of processes, increased productivity and algae flowers.
Another study, which represents an international collaboration of environmentalists and biologists, demonstrates that global changes in the weather have already impacted all aspects of life on earth, from genes to all ecosystems.
On the other hand, on the impact of climate change globally, this refers to variations in the physical systems of the planet are represented in the thaw of the poles, which in turn is due to the melting of snow and glaciers, heating, floods of both rivers and lakes, droughts in rivers and lakes, coastal erosion, sea level elevation and extreme phenomena.

According to investigations, the Dominican Republic is lowered the ten position among the most vulnerable countries in the world due to climate change. That is, the effects of climate change are felt with great rigor in our country, this means that this in the future will cause us a great impact. This is because the country is located on the Hurricane Route of the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the high urban population concentrated on the banks of rivers, ravines and on the coast.
For the agricultural sector, such as provinces such as Elías Piña, Independencia, Pedernales and El Seibo food production is more prone to being affected by drought as a result of climate change, since they are very dry areas with crops and theirLow adaptation capacity. On the other hand, floods, the agricultural sector was more affected in the Yuna, Ozama rivers, Yaque del Sur and Yaque del Norte. With the availability of water resources, the Montecristi, Valverde, Bahoruco, La Altagracia, Barahona, Peravia, San Pedro de Macorís, La Romana, the Seibo and the National District showed high vulnerability presented a high vulnerability. All this tells us that we as citizens, is our duty to raise awareness, to recognize each of the consequences that climate change brings us through education and training.

To conclude, I mean that this problem is one of the biggest challenges that we are going to face as citizens. The structure of the atmosphere is changing, as evidences on the presence of gases and their evolution during all these years demonstrate. If we do not do something about it, what will be of our planet in a few years?, Or rather, how will the next generations live? People need to open their eyes and recognize that this destructive phenomenon can end us.
