HW/SW resources from my computer
Introduction
In this work I will address the main characteristics of my team, both at the hardware and software level, I must say that I will use a desktop equipment, specifically that of my work, since with this team it is with which I spend more time day by day, It is not especially powerful so we can review somewhat obsolete but at the same time interesting hardware characteristics.
We will address the information of both a scientific and user point of view and try to provide our personal value, we begin!
Analysis of my team components
General characteristics:
First we will focus on the general characteristics, I will indicate that my team is an HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF I3, having an Intel Core i3 processor, with HP Compaq la1951G monitor, QWERTY LENOVO KEYBOOK and LYNX M9.
(In the photo you can also see a Switch D-Link and a ThinkCentre SSD miniord but I will focus on the HP)
The HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF I3 (Small Form Factor) is, or rather it was a professional range computer, it went on the market with a much higher price than a medium domestic computer and did not used to be marketed through the typical sales channels to user. It has a black chassis whose main characteristic, as in most desktops, is the ease of removing their side covers and thus obtaining a simple access to equipment components in order to remove them in case of damage or update them If we wanted to.
It has USB ports both on the front of the chassis and in the rear (being always, according to my experience, those of the rear more powerful and being these where we must connect any device that the equipment did not recognize us in the USB ports of the front of)
It also has a DVD reader-speaker (something in extinction) and two mini jack connectors for helmets and micro on the front of the box.
In the back we have the following:
- 4 USB 3 ports.0 (faster than 2.0 so common at that time).

The recommended uses for this equipment are:
- Execute office applications

So for the administrative and remote support work that we do at work is enough, it is true that we should have more powerful equipment, because many times we use the virtualbox oracle and here when we load a virtual machine yes it shows their own slowness of a machine with limited resources.

Hardware characteristics:

Main components:
- CPU: As the MSINFO32 command has not indicated, the processor is an Intel® Core ™ I3- processor

Video and sound cards:
Video card, has a generation architecture graphics 6.0 and 32 Nm technology developed especially for office, is connected through the PCIE 1 interface.0 x16.
It provides low performance in games and in many applications, it is a graph for office and little more.
Sound card, has internal speaker alc261, very basic sound, not recommended for cinema, movies or games.
Other components of the computer:
TFT HP Compaq La1951G monitor of 19 -inch Native Resolution. 1280 x 1024. Brightness. 250 cd/m. Contrast ratio. 1000: 1 static. Response rate. 5 ms. Vision angle. It is a monitor that is not bad size and allows you to work with several applications at the same time in a comfortable way.
500GB SATA hard drive at 7200 rpm, particularly it seems to me a small amount of storage when many work teams have SSD hard drives and if not, the capacity of a professional hard drive is around 1 to 2 TB, many times Combining both Hard Disk types.
DVD reader/recorder: something that a given time can be useful to watch movies or make not very heavy backs, but that is already practically missing from professional computer science shops because we have pendrives, memory cards and other devices with a lot of capacity that do not need specific hardware and are much lighter and more transportable.
Software characteristics:
- Operating System/S (SO): The equipment has the Windows 7 Professional Operating System with Service Pack 1 (Packing Package to increase capabilities and fix failures of different kinds that have been found in the operating system) is the 32 version of 32 bits (now almost all teams are 64 to manage RAM more than 4 GB).
Windows 7 is not a bad operating system, together with XP and 10, according to me criteria are the best, but in the middle of 2020 we should have Windows 10 equipment for its virtual desks etc.

As an antivirus, being a corporate team, there is a trend-micro perimeter antivirus. Antivirus that continuously controls the equipment and network of the company.

These virtual machine. Conclusions:
Throughout the work I have indicated that the characteristics of the equipment are very basic, practically the essentials today to work with office programs, but far removed in the optimal needs referred to virtualization, connection and work in remote, multimedia etc. So for our work, this team is far behind what we would need for the correct performance of our work functions.
