How to develop adolescents resilience?

All teenagers can develop resilience;through learning social and planning skills, the development of healthy self – esteem and establishing positive thinking:

Social skills learning. Knowing how to make friends and keep them, know how to solve conflicts and know how to work in teams are some skills that lead to develop resilience. In addition, if the teenager is able to establish relationships and connections in their environment, it will have more opportunities to build good relationships.

Establish positive thinking habits. People who have resilience think rationally and try to look at the positive side of adversities. Stay and move on even when things are wrong. Adolescence is the stage in which we learn that difficult situations and problems are part of life.

Develop healthy self – esteem. Key to lay the bases of resilience. In this way, the teenager respects himself and others. Therefore, he believes that others must also treat it with respect too;And it will be less vulnerable in front of bullying.

Mark goals, objectives and plans. Resilience means feeling confidence about oneself. Knowing how to organize and develop planning skills, keep you prepared for hard work. To do this, adolescents must enhance their strengths and know their limitations.

Therefore, a resilient teenager is not only able to face difficult situations and know how to recover behind them;but he will also be able to adapt to the different adversities and obstacles that he will be in his life. It is essential that young people are able to develop resilience and adaptability from an early age to be able to face a society as competitiveness as ours.
