Victims of forced disappearance are deprived of their liberty, maintained in secret detention and are rarely released. Often his destiny remains unknown;They are frequently tortured and are constantly afraid of being killed. Even if they are eventually released, both physical and psychological scars remain in them for the rest of their lives. The families and loved ones of the victims also suffer an immense anguish, Mexico is positioned in an important worldwide number about countries that report greater gender violence, “more than 23.000 women have been killed in the last 10 years ".
In this year the term femicide was sadly popular, which is defined as "the violent death of a woman for reasons of gender, a cruel form of violence with serious manifestations of discrimination" (National Commission to prevent and eradicate violence against women,2016) According to the Mexican government portal.
