Before choosing the cloud back copy as a backup strategy, it is important to weigh the possible pros and cons associated with the use of a third party to store data. The advantages of cloud backup include:

In general, it is cheaper to make a data backup using a cloud backup service compared to creating and maintaining an internal backup operation. The associated costs of the cloud back copy increase as the data volume of the backup increases, but the economies are likely to continue making the cloud backup an attractive option. 

Some suppliers can offer free backup copies in the cloud, but the amount of backup capacity is usually limited, which makes the free backup appropriate for some domestic users and only for smaller companies. But organizations must be careful with cost climbing as data volume grows. Managing cloud backups is simpler because service providers are responsible for many of the administration tasks required with other forms of backup forms.

Backup copies are generally safer against ransomware attacks because they are carried out outside the office network.
