Haiti and the colonization of the Spaniards
Introduction
Haiti is one of the countries that are established on the island called by the Spaniards as the Spanish one, which he shares with his neighboring Dominican Republic country. This is located in the central zone of the Antilles and Haiti is one of the thirteen countries that make it up. Its most populous capital and city is port prince.
Because its population is mainly a descendant of slaves of West Africa, a Caribbean Afro country is considered rather. It is also within Latin American countries, as its languages (Creole and French) come from the evolution of vulgar Latin (daily Latin).
Developing
Originally the first settlers of the island of the Spanish (Aboriginal of Raza Taina, Caribe, Arawak) arrived thousands of years ago, it is estimated that they probably came from South America through the arch of the minor Antilles until reaching the island. In 1492 the island was discovered by Spain through the trips of Cristóbal Colon.
The Spaniards managed to exterminate the native population of the place, as a consequence they were forced to import black slaves from Africa to exploit the resources that the island possessed. Spain was more interested in the eastern part of the island where it established cities at different points, leaving the western side depopulated.
Taking advantage of this, in 1905 the buccaneros, filibusteros and adventurers began to take over the northwest of the island. These were giving way to the emergence of the first French colony in the New World, called Saint Domingue. Through the Ryswick Treaty established in 1697, Spain formally yields the western zone to France.
This promoted the importation of slaves brought from Africa, which were exploited, cruelly treated and forced to live in inhuman conditions. Tired of the whips they had experienced in their own flesh, the black slaves rebelled against the French government. This fact was called Haitian Revolution, where there were a series of manifestations and confrontations in search of the abolition of slavery.

All this was carried out due to the impact caused by the French Revolution. Toussaint L’Ouverture, descendant of slaves, became the main leader of the troops of the black slaves. He faced Spanish, English and French governments since 1793-1802, a period in which slaves enjoyed freedom and privileges.
