Within the universal literature, emblematic stand out that have become eximious writers for their history and the various literary resources that they implement to exalt the content of the same works among them is Oedipus Rey, their authorship is granted to Sophocles born in the496 AC Century In a Colono village located in Athens, he was the son of Sofila belonging to the bosom of a well -off family.

As for his poetic life, it can be mentioned that it was the most highlighting Greek playwright of the time, since in his writings he was responsible for capturing his conception of man and the world, so he encompasses himself in the literary current of Greek classicism, in additionHe was characterized by being a friendly and educated man, he was chosen twice as a politic.

With respect to the structure that this work has, it is presented in a linear way because the actions are given in order and is divided into eight episodes written in 1530 verses being this as Sophocles shows us the story of a man who is a victim of his destinyAnd without knowing the truth of his murderof the work.

Developing.

In this famous work of literature, several issues and themes can be seen that influence its development in a context in general, as the plot revolves around the destination, where the design of the gods are established byThey must be fulfilled, which have to face their main characters so that Layo upon learning of the prediction of the Oracle of Delphi leaves his son Oedipus to avoid his dire destiny.

However, when Oedipus was old, he also decidesFlee from Corinth faces his parent Layo and ends up killing him, after that he goes to Thebes and proclaims himself as a king marrying his mother, being as the deaths of two of the characters originate, for the feeling of guilt for theincest act that Yocasta had committed decides to commit suicide by shame before his nation and Oedipus eyes as regret and justice rings.

On the other hand, among the most relevant themes that can be evidenced in the content are abandonment, since the king of Thebes decided to abandon his son after learning about the prediction of the Oracle of Delphi, seeking to avoid his destiny of being killedIn the hands of his son, the same anguish of Layo and Yocasta for the uncertainty of knowing that the future awaits them with the abandonment of Oedipus in the same way

The Tebano people for the plague that whipped their nation at that time and the Oedipus himself to know what his origin was so that the people who raised him were not their true family, so he was forced to look for answers to consult the oracle. Blindness is a great relevance, since it is established in the main character Oedipus at the end of the work,

The natural environment in which it is framed this is varied, since it allows to measure the content of the same where the contexts of that time that had a great impact on this, such as the social architect in thisTragedy transmits religious ideas in the acts of the main characters, approximately in the year 430 AC presents the plague in the empire, affecting the Tebana society.

It is worth mentioning that social distinctions could be witnessed here where the main characters belonged to the high status while the secondary ones were in the status low surrounded by slaves, metecos and foreigners. In the political sphere, society was governed by the absolute monarchy of Oedipus with the intervention of its kinship in order to have greater control of it,

All the actions mentioned above are filed by the main and secondary characters that Sophocles integrates in his work as Oedipus, son of Layo and Yocasta characterized by being a brave man who protects both his family and his people and no matter how much he triesescaping his fatal destiny does not get it. Yocasta Queen of Thebes, Oedipus’ mother who later becomes his wife, and decides to commit suicide when he learns of the incestuous situation he committed.

Layo King of Thebes who dies in the hands of his parent Oedipus, as the oracle predicted. Among the secondary characters that stand out in the work are Tiresias a blind seer who reveals the truth of his king, despite not being able to see has the ability to understand what is happening around him,

It is worth mentioning that all these characters are dominated by their values and anti values that influence the academs shown in the plot of the work such as the bravery of Oedipus when facing their destiny as shown below “Oedipus: that my destiny followsHis course, where he goes and the love for his daughters is also the confidence of the Tebano people to Oedipus to disappear the plague and imprudence of Oedipus by judging Tiresias for his condition, the cowardice of Layo when he abandoned his sonTo escape his destiny and the lie from a servant of Layo by not abandoning Oedipus as his king was ordered, but I deliver it to strangers.

On the other hand, the narrator of this emblematic work is omniscient, that is, in the third person, the one that is not part of the story, but knows perfectly the same as the feelings of the characters and their actions that develop in stages and spacesNatural that cause a significant impact on the work, mostly occur in the city of Thebes and its surroundings, Corinth where Oedipus and Delphi grow is the place where the oracle is located, this is how the sophocles brief is located in themythical period, where the facts of the tragedy are not given chronologically, since it focuses on the life of Oedipus in a single day.

Conclusions.

In short, Oedipus Rey has become an exempted work of literature for showing the conception of man, where Oedipus is a victim of his destiny without neglecting that he uses several literary resources to exalt the content of the same. It is worth mentioning that the natural environment in which the characters develop and the whole work itself causes a great impact on those people who decide to read it.

This is how this leaves us as a message that the actions committed by the human being often forge their destiny so that they cannot get rid of it, and we must maintain respect and love towards those people surround us and support us spatial towards our parentsthat give us life, just as Oedipus did with their children even though two of them abandoned him.
