Introduction

For many years children’s literature has been considered scarce and even somewhat offensive. At the present time no one dares to deny their existence, although differences around their concept, nature and objectives abound. Children’s literature today is based on the needs of children, providing this good social, emotional and cognitive development.

It is a genre of literature which is focused on children, these can be the creators. Literature is a communicative act that is sensitized through a simple, playful and magical message. Children’s literature according to Perrault, intends to place in the eyes of children some examples of life, the world, of society, of the immediate or distant environment, of the possible or unattainable reality, through techniques, almost always with a look at fantasy. 

Developing

All this responds to the needs that the child suffers without even knowing them;And for the child to play with the images of reality that are offered and thus build his own reality. Child literature forms an effective means for the transmission of culture, the integration of the areas of knowledge: history, music, art, psychology, sociology, among others, the enrichment of concepts and training in values. In addition, literature plays a fundamental role in school and home as a tool that favors an approach to reading and writing processes.

Literature in Early Childhood Education

This should begin in the first months of life of children to create affective links with their mothers, fathers, grandparents among others and their teachers, using basic things, such as song, luling, reading stories, telling stories, giving the child/A through games that allow exploring the world and enjoying it.

Children’s literature and its intergenerational character

We value that at present the place of literature is very valuable in early childhood formation, since children’s literature is recognized and valued in relation to the intergenerational encounter place between two or more generations. When we refer to intergenerational character, we talk about the fact that stories change, but magic is the same. It is one of the few everyday instances in which yesterday and today seem not to keep distance.

Literature is a powerful resource that facilitates, promotes and is practical at the time of the socio-affective meeting. It is more than an resource: enriches and enhances the links, creativity and socio -emotional development of both the child and adult. More than a resource is an inclusive territory that enriches and enhances links, creativity and socio -emotional development of both children and adults. An investigation in neuroscience express that a pleasant activity not only emotionally favors the child but also the adult and enriches the link. These aspects, within the framework of an integral educational proposal, must be the basis and foundation of an artistic education.

Principle and End: The conquest of subjectivity

The arts are part of the essential nucleus of education, so they are of the utmost importance for this development. We live in the culture of immediacy, since we don’t have time.

We all know that reading is good, both for adults and boys, but children’s literature meets a very important role in the child’s development. When the child is small, the mother or father’s first readings serve to strengthen emotional ties. Children often expect anxious at the time of the day dedicated to reading, not only for knowing a new story, but for the time they share together.

Individuals who are able to build their subjectivity with autonomy and independence, develop authentic interests, new capacities, ways of thinking and feeling, of acting, innovating, this favors when relating to their peers, their families and with theirenvironment. The construction of subjectivity begins from birth or even before being very important the experiences and experiences in early childhood.
