Gangs in the United States and Mexico
The 2018 caravan is a recent issue, which has involved several areas of America, such as Honduras, Guatemala, Salvador, Mexico and USA, in which there have been many negative responses, but which is a caravan ? A caravan is a group of people traveling in different ways, it can be by vehicle, on foot, or by animals, especially for deserts or unpopulated places.
This caravan originates from Central American migrants of Honduras, "the first was initiated by a thousand Hondurans on October 13, 2018, who left San Pedro Sula, Honduras," began their trip to cross the border with Mexico, this country offered himHelp but in exchange for entering groups of 30 people, however this caravan refused and commented that they were all or none, because of this they entered destroying the fence which was located on the border of Mexico, and force entered into force. This action was dangerous, some were damaged but the caravan did not give up on continuing its path. They walked for hours and days, most on foot and rarely in vans, until they reached Tijuana, some stayed in camping houses near the border between Mexico and the United States, until they made the decision to go to the border andDemand that they let them cross, waited for a while and despair entered them, some time later they released gas bombs, the videos shows how the caravan flees running, the caravan says that they were the immigration police, many Hondurans were outraged for this reason, evenThey decided not to move.
Days later, most noticed that they were not going to be able to cross and decided to stay in Tijuana, although many of them decided to return home, because they were tired, desperate and angry at not being able to reach the United States.
In part Mexico has been providing support to this caravan in different ways, given food, water, blankets, transport and medical care. Even former President Enrique Peña Nieto had started a campaign called "You are at home" in which he supported refugees but had to stay in Oaxaca and Chiapas, offered a lot of support and even a temporary employment program.
Many Hondurans feel grateful for this fact but not all of them are convinced and demand more than they give. This is one of the reasons why they cannot complete them is that other people want to receive more or offer them resources and do not accept them. Hondurans who continue with the hope of crossing the wall and obtaining a better life stay in Tijuana in a winery, waiting for one day to fulfill their goal.
The reasons for his departure are desire for a better life, impoverishment, danger, fear and threat. People who are migrating for a better life, are for themselves or their families, are looking for something that they cannot obtain in their place of origin, and economic resources, since the place where there is a lack of jobs, unemployment in Honduras is a problem of a social and personal nature, this lack, loss of employment causes family crises, since the fear of threat is because of the gang of "Mara Salvatrucha" that are a danger in the streets of the country,which was consolidated in recent years, as one of the most insecure in Latin America. Mara Salvatrucha is a gang that was born in Los Angeles California street in the 80. The name Mara Salvatrucha has several theories about her name, "Mara" can mean the near circle they have in El Salvador, "saves Salvadoran, and Trucha means cunning.
Aliaing with other more powerful and greater reach organizations, Mara obtained more power, which helped them expand to the entire US southwest, but due to migratory pressures and what the Government perceived a threat to important security, it began withA deportation program that sent thousands of its members to El Salvador and the rest of Central America.
