Film writers of freedom, discrimination and stereotypes
This film shows the important issues such as discrimination, stereotypes, as well as prejudices, in which it shows us how racial differences in a classroom can limit the relationship between students and learning, therefore, oneOf the most important work of the teacher is to create the integration of students within the educational centers, creating dynamically, strategies that achieve this objective.
In this film, we can appreciate how the professor attributes an intercultural education, trying that, with her speech, the relationship between students and respect to achieve imitators and barriers that prevent students to relate because of theirrace, transforming students into a fair group and open to other students from different races.
As for the teachers who had more experience in education, the methods they used to work with students were not very useful and shortened the students’ learning media. These teachers had no faith that the students who belonged to class 203 could advance, learn and culminate their studies, also perceived young people as ‘lost cases’, were not empathic to the individual needs and disparities of the students. Emphasizing this, it refers that experienced teachers have much more empathy for the unique needs and disparities of the students, have greater competence to motivate and make them participants, and present a more extensive program of instructional variables to handle their needs.
Another aspect of importance is the educational center and the rules that are governed, as we appreciate in the film, one of the most important factors that limited that the teacher could apply her teaching strategy was the policy of the educational institute, sinceThis hindered student learning for their racial condition. An example of this is when one of the students of the Honor class goes to class 203 because of the way teachers treated it, she explains to the deputy director how some teachers made her understand that it was an achievement that a studentBlack has that academic height, it also bothered her that they saw her as a spokeswoman for the race to which she belonged.
With reference to this, educational centers have a great weight on student learning and elaborate important differences in the effects they obtain, especially in the cognitive area. Variables such as the educational policy of the center, classroom teaching strategies and global management facilitate at the same time foster equality and equity.
Similarly, you can see in the film the way in which an equal opportunities for students in class 203 are achieved with the other students, they were excluded and did not give them a good teaching quality for their race. When the teacher arrived and make a change and put her trust in young people, there was an increase in competition within the group, making the abandonment in the group to extinguish.
The teacher got students to understand and accept ethnic differences, by teaching them what happened in the Holocaust, she got dare of that knowledge to become empathic to other cultures and by the own.
With everything mentioned we can deduce and understand that teacher training is an important part for the application and adaptation of intercultural education, that is, teachers must be prepared to be able to deploy in an educational center of diverse cultures. Therefore, they must have at least one idea of the characteristics of the country of origin of their students and fight against racial prejudices and favor and facilitate coexistence between students.
