Film ‘In search of happiness’
Faithful to the real history on which it is based, "in search of happiness" is set in 1981, in the city of San Francisco, where Chris Gardner, husband and father, invests all his savings in a project he trustsHe will bring earnings to his family: portable scanners to measure bone density, which is sure to interest all San Francisco doctors and their surroundings. However, despite its investment and efforts, the business fails, leaving the Gardner family in red numbers.
Likewise, as sometimes the penalties are not alone, the distressing economic situation in which they have fallen makes Chris Gardner’s wife, pretty, decide to leave them, moving to New York City. In this way, Chris faces the situation of not having money or home, and also having to face the hard task of raising only his son, Christopher Gardner Jr., who has been in charge.
One day, during a short taxi trip, Gardner meets Jay Twistle, who is impressed by the rapid solution Gardner can give to a magical cube, while reveals a new area in which he can try his luck, toIn order to obtain a position as a stockbroker, which could generate a job with pay. In this way, Gardner undertakes a new adventure, in which he must compete with another 19 applicants, in order to obtain the position he longed for.
However, its great record and its novel and effective telephone sales method make Gardner. Likewise, during this hard competition, Gardner always shows positive and entrepreneur, without revealing to anyone the terrible economic situation that lives with his little son, whom he barely maintains. After the internship, Chris has a meeting that changes his life, since the company’s managers finally offer him the desired position, in reward of his achievements, thus providing the opportunity to have a job that generates a salary.
With an emotion that almost reaches tears, Gardner quickly addresses his son’s school, where he greets him with a big hug, because from now on things will change for better. Both walk down the street, crossing with Chris Gardner himself, who participated in a cameo inside the film. Father and Son continue to walk the streets of San Francisco, at the time when the film epilogue tells the spectators who, over time, this father managed to create his own stock corner company, with which he became billionaire, leaving leavingof poverty and becoming an example of overcoming and love towards his son, demonstrating with his story that there are no impossible when constancy and effort is placed in a dream, especially when he relates to giving happiness to those who love each other the most.
