Essay on professional duties
Professional duties are the professional obligations that go intimately linked to moral.
That is why through this essay it is intended, to present what professional duties are, which are the most important together with their example and finely why professional duties are not applied by us as individuals.
Based on the fact that what professional duties are already known is the main issue of this essay. What are the most important professional duties and how would you apply them?
Personally the most significant and outstanding professional duties are:
- Professional competence, and would apply it not assuming positions or tasks where you have no knowledge, experience or due preparation.
- Honesty, personally this is a value that I consider vital in the life of any professional and is an attribute that reflects the rectum to proceed from an individual, this would apply it as an entire person who first is sincere and transparent in everything that he performs.
- A clear example of this could be that I make an error and that it has not been seen by anyone, but I am about to report it although I know that it could have consequences, but it does not matter since I know that I am doing the right thing.
- Professional secrecy, which could apply by keeping the information of each person with caution.
- Social Responsibility to which I could get involved as a voluntary for social matters as environmental in what are their commercial systematizations and what their relationships with the interlocutors are.
- Inclusion, this duty for me is very important because as a professional, the way in which I would put it into practice is no, subject to any type of prejudice either discrimination, segregation or exclusion. This duty to take care of people’s dignity as human beings.
- Courtesy, this is definitely something of utmost importance in what is the work part since they are the affable forms in what is social treatment, it could apply it when greeting and being kind to people and always respecting it.
- Finally the last one that I consider important of this list of professional duties is what is equity, which would apply it not having any kind of favoritism.
After analyzing all these professional duties we can say that the importance of this lies in what ethics is, we can see that professional training is something that entails a level of knowledge that instills a person in the field of society, providing it withof a particular interest in your profession that will be flatly reflected in your daily performance.
Now after knowing all important duties, there is a question and is why many of them do not apply?
As we know, the duties are demands, indeclinable impositions, recidivities on what is the responsibility of the individual for which we better fulfill it the more there is a happy social coexistence and generally the duty is cataloged in the group of moral obligations.
But many times we do not usually apply professional duties, because our moral, values and ethical character are not firm enough in us, since today there are many things that can put professionalism into play in each of us, it isTherefore, as professionals we must develop and strengthen what character is in our behaviors, and try to have good ethics, because it is the one that gives us aware of many things, as if I am doing the right or wrong things.
In conclusion of this essay we can say that every profession is definite.
For which the duty of each person is to prepare to be able to exercise their profession since it is also worth mentioning that a solid preparation of technique and the acquisition of good personal qualities are precise requirements to be able to carry out a first job.
And finally we finish concluding in this essay with that every professional must be an individual of consciousness, capable of respecting and loving the fulfillment of duty above any material guarantee, advantages or personal benefit.
