Entrepreneurship Capacity and Projects in Colombia
To start with this intervention we must be clear about the concept of entrepreneursor existing process in search of overcoming the constants and growing economic problems. Entrepreneurship today has become very important, since the needs of people such as the search for independence and economic stability added to the high level of unemployment and the low quality of existing jobs speaking salaryly encourage them to generate their own resources with theInitiation of their own businesses in order to move from employees to employers.
Entrepreneurship in a country like Colombia has been increasing and therefore entities that specialized for this purpose also as an article of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá says (‘Entrepreneurship growth in Colombia’, S.F.) “Entities such as the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, with the business services model;Wayra Colombia, Telefónica digital startup accelerator, which helps entrepreneurs grow and form successful companies;The Seine with the Entrepreneurship Fund;Innpulsa, Business Growth Management Unit of the National Government, created in February 2012 to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and productivity as axes for business development and competitiveness of Colombia;Among others, are some of the local and national entities that support from different aspects the development of ventures in Colombia ”
Already entered into context a clear example of entrepreneurship in Colombia we can see it with the signing of the peace agreements where guerrilla ex -combatants created a project called “Paz Café” with which they attended the coffee summit and were winners of the prize as the most projectInnovative, they were chosen by 69% of the entrepreneurs who attended the summit where approximately 120 projects from 15 departments of the country were presented. The “Paz Café” project is made up of six ex -combatants, you want to be dedicated to the production and marketing of coffee derived products such as meat sauce with cherry and coffee mucilago, arequipe with coffee, yogurt, cherries with syrup, with its microenterprise located inThe Cauca more specifically in the Technology Park of Coffee Innovation (Technicafé), with the aim of benefiting coffee families with the purpose of generating value added by integral use of coffee.
This above can determine that in Colombia, entrepreneurship contributes to the development of the country and is positioned very strongly in several of the economic sectors, which generates benefits for the national economy and contributes to the reduction of unemployment rates, in addition the country hasCharacteristics that make possible the development of the different entrepreneurship projects such as the size of the market, the interest of human capital to generate income, the predisposition to business and the ability to generate new opportunities. According to Colombia, Colombia is the seventh country in Latin America that thanks to the fact that it has the ideal demand requirements thanks to the ease of financing and the willingness to carry out the procedures to start a business.
One way to improve innovation in entrepreneurship is to strengthen the university-company relationship to promote connections around the transfer of knowledge that allow business development in addition to the potential of projects using the necessary tools to succeed in a new business idea, such as strategic planning and advances in science and technology.
