England and migration to other countries in the fifteenth century

In the mid-fifteenth in the southern part of England, the feudal lords gradually change the feudal system they practiced. The Earth was exploited by their servants who did not own the same. The feudal lords created a rental system, the income depended on the market conditions generated by the competition between current and potential tenants, which wanted to obtain those lands. This change in property management, the payment of income and profits gives to the fret with a new concept: capitalism.

According to The Mit Dictionary of Modern Economics "Capitalism is a political, social and economic system in which large companies and a few wealthy people control the property".

Capitalism differs from the previous economic system, feudalism, for the purchase of work in exchange for a salary.

With the constitution of the thirteen colonies in the United States, the society that is created is fully capitalist, the industrial north and with family and southern family agriculture, with an agricultural economy, in which the monoculture of planting predominated, especially the cotton and sugar cane.

These two ways of understanding the economy face the secession war of 1861-1865, after this war, the country’s economic growth is spectacular. Without many obstacles to the development of capitalism, since the union unions were non -existent. The continuous avalanche of immigrants favors growth and development, also prompted many other immigrants from around the world to take north.

Private property plays a fundamental role among the basic principles of capitalism. They are also included within these, freedom of business and choice, self-interest as dominant motivation, competition, the importance of the price system, or market, and a small role of the government.

Capitalism establishes that resources must be in the hands of companies and individuals. Competition is a key word within the capital system. This means that a large number of companies or people offer and sell a product, in a given market. In this market, there are also consumers, who, according to their preferences and needs, buy or demand those products.

Capitalism, like any economic system, has demonstrated in practice advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage is that productivity in the economy directly stimulates. Who produces more, with lower costs, obtains a greater economic benefit, which in turn, can re -invest in spiral generating a growing wealth. Another advantage is that individuality, imagination, creativity and innovation are stimulated. New market niches, new forms of commerce, etc.

Among the disadvantages of the capitalist system we find that due to their desire to increase production, companies cut costs, or increase the working hours, becoming the inhuman exploitation of man by man, where those who handle capital violate dignity of the worker. Man becomes a more production resource, numbers, not individuals. Long days work for irisable salaries in subhuman situations many times, without ventilation, in premises without capacity, or without health services.

Most people who work in these conditions are people with a low level of education or immigrants who have no other options. Another disadvantage of capitalism and that affects all the inhabitants of the planet, is the environmental deterioration that they have exposed to us from the industrial revolution. Natural resources have been consumed irrationally, large amounts of forests and jungles have been talked throughout the world, rivers, lakes and oceans have been contaminated. Natural resources such as oil and gas have been exploited indiscriminately, to the point of having minimal world reserves today.

Summarizing the disadvantages and advantages of this social system, I believe that disadvantages must weigh more when taking action. It is time to review the world, take from each social system its best characteristics, innovate and create something new so that humanity can have plans to safeguard the natural resources we still have, and stop the greed and heartbreak in which we are living.

This is the only alternative of future hope: change and replace. Therefore if we do not change the present, we will not have a future for our children to participate. There will be no life simply, neither profitable nor habitable. A good system is the one that respects and protects the planet and its citizens equally, that is what we have to continue raising and reinventing. We are men, not the systems that make the difference in life.
