EDUCATION ON THE CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Environmental changes are a problem of all, however, not the entire population receives an adequate education of how to take care of the environment. There are currently many environmental problems and certain people have the idea that environmental education is not important. In this essay, three texts that address this issue will be compared: a scientific article, the importance of environmental education in the face of the current problem;A movie, Wall-E;And an opinion article, is environmental education important?, So some similarities and differences will be addressed, both as it has contained and at the formal level, which exist between them. Next, the comparison of the texts presented is developed.
As in the introduction, the three texts deal with the environmental issue and each of them addresses it differently in the article of the importance of environmental education in the face of the current problem that contains information about environmental education: “Environmental education is aPermanent process in which individuals and communities acquire awareness of their environment, learn knowledge, values, skills, experience and, also, the determination that enables them to act, individually and collectively, in the resolution of problemspresent and future environmental.”(Martínez R. 2010, p. 100). On the other hand, the opinion article is important environmental education?, He speaks directly of the importance of the same: “Education is one of the tools to produce the necessary changes for the construction of alternative development models and is committed to the formation of critical subjects, capable of understanding and understanding the complexity of being andof its reality, all this, understood as its social, biological, political, historical, cultural, ecological and economic environment, but above all committed to the solution of socio -environmental problems with a solidary and collaborative attitude.”(Pilar M, 2016). And in the film, issues of environmental problems are addressed that are gradually giving in the world such as important climatic changes such as heat and cold waves in addition to excessive garbage production, the world remainscovered from it everything affects us in addition to the fact that it gives the message of caring for our planet so as not to destroy it and this has to do directly with the environment.
As for the form, more similarities are observed between the exhibition text and the argumentative than with the film, since in these 2 they use examples to raise awareness about the environmental problems that are referenced in: “The environmental crisis is the crisis ofour time. It is not an ecological catastrophe, but the effect of thought with which we have built and destroyed our world ”and. Lefft. Plus. “The environmental crisis has been generated by the way in which the human being or society, in general, have been related to the environment (appropriation, production and consumption). The responsibility of all is the epistemological location of those who must know sustainable relationships with the environment and society.”(2010, P. 107).
Unlike the other two texts, where the theme is addressed from a professional perspective, in the film Wall-E the world is destroyed by a cataclysm that happened due to the little environmental education of people and their lack of care to the planet thus carrying itTo destruction this because the Buy-N-Large Corporation that caused excessive garbage production and as a last attempt to save the human race, they leave cleaning robots on Earth and leave the planet in a spacecraft
In conclusion, there are currently environmental problems and people put environmental education as something secondary in their lives without giving them the importance they deserve, but today people have begun to learn more about them, but in the importance it is not yet givenwhich deserves is still in 2.º Plan: "Environmental education has been taken as the awkward sister of education, to which you have to attend, put in the curriculum".
