Introduction

The factions are groups of people with equal qualities, each of them is differentiated by the color of clothing and according to the characteristics of each faction.

Humanity has been extinguished because of a series of terrible wars. Therefore, society created at the beginning of great peace has decided to group people into five factions that try to eradicate the evils that led them to war. Those who blamed aggressiveness created cordiality. Those who blamed ignorance, grouped into erudition. Against deception, it came true, against selfishness, self-denial, and against cowardice, daring.
At sixteen, all children in the community must take the proof of aptitude, these are individual tests in which physical and mental skills test. They face dangerous situations in which they must make decisions and actions, according to the action on the exam, show what faction you really belong to.
Each individual must choose whether to remain in the faction of their parents or change. If you change, you will have to give up seeing your family again. After the choice ceremony, all boys must go through an initiation process: the one who does not exceed it will run out of faction, turned into a couple (the pariahs do not have civil or religious rights).
Beatrice’s family belongs to self-denial and, although she values the way of life of her faction, she does not know if she is altruistic enough to dedicate her life to others. Beatrice’s difficult choice marks the beginning of the saga, and the plot of Divergent will focus on initiation tests. Beatrice will have to win her position in the faction and that will lead her to compete against her teammates;She will make allies and enemies, and will meet someone very special, a person she would never have expected to find.
When he reaches his new faction, things do not result as she believed, since to stay, various agility and strength evaluations must happen, in which she fails without hesitation. But one day, a boy who calls himself four begins to show interest in her, teaching him how to work to stay. The days pass and Beatriz, begins to improve becoming one of the best in the place.
However, her faction teammates begin to show her jealousy and decide to sabotage her. But tranquility does not last long in daring, since the leaders of the faction want to implement in them some control devices, which do not work in divergent people. So Tris will have to save, along with four, to the rest of his friends and family of the destruction of his faction. The book ends with tris and four fleeing from the capital, venturing beyond the walls.
