Contemporary Applications of Psychology Development
Introduction
In this essay I will be discussing psychology. I will cover more about the origin of psychology. I will talk about the development of psychological studies. I will compare different psychology schools. As psychology solves the problems identified in the learning center. At the end of this essay I will be exposing my conclusion to be able to finish this work.
Developing
Psychology is based on science that is responsible for studying human behaviors, also studies the mental processes of people. In general, study the relative related to human experience. Psychology is also responsible for exploring concepts such as motivation, perceptions, intelligence and personality of humans. This analyzes three dimensions, these are behavioral, cognitive and affective.
In 1879 a German doctor named Wilhem Wundt was with a circumstance to obtain a chair of philosophy in Leipzig University. It is at that time that he decides to analyze the interest of both disciplines to be able to create the first laboratory in experimental psychology. Rather, psychology feeds on the different existing disciplines, disparate such as philosophy, biology, physics, computer science and physiology. In itself there are different branches of psychology, since psychology is a broad field.
I will be mentioning different types of branches in psychology. Physiological psychology is the one dedicated to being the functioning of the brain and the nervous system. Followed by experimental psychology, which is responsible for studying perception and memory. This social psychology is followed, it is responsible for analyzing the influences that the social environment marks on an individual. Followed by industrial psychology is the one that is responsible for studying the work environments of the groups of workers, also tries to look for ways to understand what can be harmful within the activities carried. And finally there is clinical psychology, it is responsible for studying and helping those who have no inconveniences to face life normally.
I will mention some of the psychology schools one of this is: structuralism, this is the first school of psychology is based on Wundt’s ideas, since it was considered the first psychology school called structuralism and was dedicated to studying the structure of the brains, Freud and psychoanalysis is center in the study of the unconscious and compare the human psyche with an iceberg, since he argued that a small part is visible, behaviorism was the school of psychology that was developed in the 50s by the hand of the hand ofThe thinkers like John B Watson, BF Skinner and Ivan Pavlov. In this behaviorist believed that observation in behavior was the key to psychology, humanism this was an response developed as a psychological school of psychoanalysis and behaviorism. This focused on helping people develop in the potential. And to end the last school was Gestalt, which in this psychologists argue that the human mind tends to become all partial information into a total.
Psychology covers different fields, since it can be said that it is one of the most important things in humans. I could see it when I did the community hours, where I could see how people with low self – esteem, many times obese people and with physical limitations, I could help them perform a better exercise and provide a routine to perform a better exercise. Many people externally see them well, but internally they are not and are those people who need more help. Another case was a lady who tells me that she goes to the gym to distract her mind, since she suffers from severe depression. It is always good for people to visit psychologists, as they help them in their daily lives. Visiting a psychologist does not mean, as many people say, "being crazy" is a professional help that helps us understand and accept problems or behaviors that you do not see or do not accept them.
conclusion
In conclusion and to end this work, psychology can be understood as a science that is responsible for addressing issues that concern the spirit, the form of people’s feeling, the moral aspects in which they develop with the environment. It can also be said that it is the study of subjective human life, of the relationships established between the psychic or physical aspects of individuals. There are people who need a lot of professional help to make changes in their lives. Today there is a large volume of population that is in depression or sick and do not dare to take the first step that is to accept that they need help.
