Beginnings of Economic Independence in the Thirteen Colonies

a) Colonial era
English colonization begins at the beginning of the 17th century on the American coast, under the reign of Jacobo I of England, expeditions to North America began to promote. The Northern Colonies developed their economic activity through the industry, while the South colonies were founded on agriculture and especially in tobacco cultivation. In general terms it can be said that the colonies enjoyed an autonomous government, since England set no limit.
b) Independence
During the year 1754 there were disputes between the English and French, which gave rise to a war that lasted 7 years, the victors were the English with the help of the Americans. In the following year, colonial leaders gathered in a first congress to boycott British merchants, next year in 1775 a second congress was held where the national government is assumed and the colonies proclaimed the war on England. The United States Independence Plans arises when England and France are at war. Independence was declared on July 4, 1776 with the principles of freedom of man and the self-training of his government.
France recognizes the independence of the United States of America with what signed a Treaty of Commerce, Friendship and Alliance in 1778. In 1781 the English surrendered and signed the treaty where he recognized the United States as an independent nation, called "La Paz de Versailles".
c) Confederation
The colonies join only with the purpose of defending against possible future interventions, these were considered independent of each other. It was then that an assembly was convened to review the articles of the Confederation and adapt the Constitution to the needs of the Government. In 1787 the Constitution of the United States was promulgated, which was ratified by the States and adopted until 1789, where the new conditions for the United States of America were established.
Conclusions.
Finally, the United States ended up aligning in the system of common law, the legal force of the precedent managed to impose itself with some adaptations to the reality of the country: magistrates and judges were very accustomed to that system to subtract from it.
