Aviation: Dream profession following the steps of the Wright brothers

In the life of every person, the time always comes when you have to stop being a child, and start asking you questions like what are you going to be when you are great? And it is that the range of possibilities that become your mind is so wide, that it makes you complicate much more to choose. Some let their parents decide their future, others get carried away by their friends or what is fashionable; However, we are very few who, since children, know what we want to do when "we are big".

In my case, it happened when I was eight years old, the day I discovered the true meaning of a particular phrase that my mother said: "Heaven is the limit". At that time, at my eight years, I wanted to spend my life in heaven;I didn’t want to be a doctor, engineer, or lawyer;Much less, I wanted to spend the rest of my life on a desk, I wanted to be a pilot, and be able to reach the limit that my mother mentioned so much.

I know that it will not be easy, that I will have to put heart, effort, dedication and much sacrifice; But everything will be worth it, when you are driving a plane, on a cloud track, where I can only travel;economizing the time of the people, turning the world around with others, and doing, above all, what I like the most: flying reaching the limit.

Now, in order to be able to show you a little more about my dream profession, I will bring up that the Federico Santa María Technical University (2013) has indicated that the professional who is the holder of the commercial pilot license is the individual who isFind covering a position inside the cabin of the airplanes, where control of the plane handling is taken.

Since ancient times, there was always interest in flying and knowing that there were behind the clouds, even Leonardo da Vinci himself, showed interest in being able to develop the ability to fly, to the point of making numerous sketches that could help with this activity.

It is so when it begins to take for the important investigations that would boost the progress on the design of the models that would facilitate the task of flying for human beings, so that over time new types of airplanes were emerging with new characteristics andImprovement with respect to flight time, speed, comfort, among other variables that would increase security when carrying out a task by the aerial environment.

On the other hand, Pérez Jara (2009) points out that from then. He adds that aircraft designers continue to strive to continuously improve the capacities and characteristics of these, such as autonomy, speed, load capacity, ease of maneuver or safety, among other details. It also indicates that the aircraft have become constructed of increasingly dense and more resistant materials; Finally, he affirms that formerly made wood, currently the vast majority of aircraft use aluminum and composite materials as the main raw materials in their production.

In this regard, Aguirre de Cacersa (2003) referred that during the 1890that could take off by your own means. At that time, both administered a bicycle factory in Dayton (Ohio, United States), and began reading and studying with great interest, books and documents related to aviation. Following Lilienthal’s advice, in 1899 they began manufacturing gliders. At the end of the century, they began to make their first flights successfully with their prototypes, at Kitty Hawk (North Carolina), a place chosen because in that area they could find constant winds, which also blew in the same direction, thus facilitatingFlights with planners. In addition to that, the area had a flat floor, which made the landings easier.

It was not until the early twentieth century when the first flights were successfully produced. On December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers became the first to make a flight on a controlled plane, however some claim that this honor corresponds to Alberto Santos Dumont, who made his flight on September 13, 1906.

In this regard, the BBC (2003), points out that Antos Dumont made a public flight in Paris, on his famous plane, the 14-BIS. This device used the same alabus system used in the Wright brothers aircraft and managed to travel a distance of 221 meters. On the 14th, unlike the Wright flyer, he did not need rails, catapults or wind to raise the flight and, as he had a lot of media impact at that time, the flight is considered by some people as the first successful of successfula plane. When this flight was made, little or nothing was known about the Wright brothers, so the international press considered the 14-bis of Santos Dumont as the first plane capable of taking off by own means.

However, regardless of the controversy that exists with respect to the first man who raised flight, what most transcends is that it was achieved. The man managed to get his feet out of the earth and learned to move with other people.

Professionalism about commercial aviation has been improving over the years, for example, almost a century ago, when the first civil air transfers began to be made. At the beginning of the 20th century, the preponderance was not made by people, but the military aeronautics of the time, that is, the transfer for military purposes. However, thanks to the enormous possibilities represented by civil applications both in the aspect of physical intercommunication and in economic terms, this was progressively changing. In the early 20’s, the idea of using commercial use aircraft was gaining greater followers. Reasons such as: joining distant populations, quickly overcoming the barrier that the ocean had represented, transporting greater amounts of travelers and cargo, and establishing bus.

The importance of this career must be known, the worldwide commercial aviation industry is superlative, since no other human transport item has been able to move to as many millions of human beings as the air is, with irrefutable margins of speed, capacity, safety and frequency. This being so, the unstoppable growth of this means of transport, thanks to tourism, has led more than 8 million people to mobilize annually by our skies. Such demand requires true professionals in commercial aviation, with excellent preparation, that they can exceed the highest expectations of transport users.

So much so that commercial aviation is an activity carried out by airlines and related services companies, to meet the demand for services required by air transport of people, goods and goods. For this purpose, the commercial air industry makes available to people their infrastructure, personnel, machinery and products, supervising, monitoring, executing or being part of the travel process in some or all its stages.

This can be inferred that commercial aviation is not only the flight of the plane itself, but all that human and technological capital that makes the trip possible. From the plane pilot, Counter’s staff, Flight Hostess, information to the public, etc.

Study and get involved in the commercial aviation sector means, today, belong to one of the most lucrative industries and with the greatest expansion potential in the country. Just see the global figures of Peru in tourist terms to understand it. For example, according to studies from the National Chamber of Tourism (Canatur), about 3.25 million tourists, which meant a 12% growth compared to the previous year. And if national statistics are good, worldwide are better. According to ATAG (Air Transport Action Group), commercial aviation is responsible for the transport of almost 3 billion passengers, twice and a half the size of the global population.

And for all these reasons I decided that, among so many options that offer a promising future, being a pilot would allow meso longed for limit that my mother was talking so much; But best of all, I will work doing what I like the most, fly.
