As the Internet has changed our life and our security
Internet has changed our way of living, causing changes in all economic, social and cultural areas, moving more and more about us in the decisions we make, and it is for this reason, that most people no longer imagine a lifeWithout this great means of communication that allows us to generate or obtain content. In other words, as Zukerfeld “Internet, has been penetrating the various national productive structures and in everyday life and has become a fundamental factor in the new informational/cognitive capitalist paradigm” (Zukerfeld, 2014).
When talking about "network neutrality" we refer to a law, which establishes that service providers must allow all the contents that circulate on the Internet to be treated equal, without making any differences and without prioritizing one byAbove others, allowing the information to disseminate and reach people universally without any difficulty and without imposing any restriction in between, independently of the information that was sent, from whom I sent it, to whom it is directed,and at what time. Thus ensuring the conditions of equality and freedom, either in consumption as in content exchange.
Throughout these years, this neutrality model of the network has been threatened by current capitalist societies. From the advancement of technology and users that increasingfunction slower, especially in peak hours, where most people use this medium. It is for this reason, that service providers intend to establish standards that allow an extra collection depending on the type of content that users consume, making them believe that a bit is worth more than another. In turn, they seek that the State authorize it to invest in facilities or services and thus improve this inconvenience. But this argument is misleading and void, since it could be said that the only purpose they want to reach is to raise their business and acquire more money monthly, as well as power over people.
In this way, the freedom of expression and circulation of information is endangered, also producing that most users cannot pay this “plus” that is acquired to services. Considering fundamental that the State intervenes so that people’s rights are not violated and not attempt against intellectual property. Since these actions by suppliers caused an opposition by people and non -governmental organizations.
We can see reflected from the neutrality of the network that service providers have access to all our data from the contents and information that we consume day by day through the Internet or from an application, being ourselves that ourselves are the ones that are the ones thatWe accept to provide certain information in order to use services, otherwise the operation is prevented. This is how there is a kind of "surveillance" towards us, and, therefore, exercising a violation of privacy. Then these data are sold and used by companies and organizations, for a commercial purpose and on several occasions by the State, which collects our data and content.
